Today we’d like to introduce you to Tai Habersham.
Hi Tai, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in a small town, Midville, GA. My dad is a pastor, and both of my parents raised me in church, so faith and music have always been a major part of my life.
I quickly found a love for singing and music. By 13 years old, I was directing music and playing piano in church. Eventually, I embraced my love for all things fine arts and found joy in drama, script writing, performing, and storytelling. Those small-town gifts turned into real dreams, and over time, many of those dreams became reality.
Fast forward to today, I am a gospel recording artist known as Prince Tai, with multiple music releases starting back in 2016 with my first single, “So Good.” My music has also earned radio play, which is something I am very grateful for.
On the drama side of fine arts, I have written nine stage plays and one screenplay. I truly enjoy having a vivid imagination and being able to bring stories, characters, and meaningful moments to life.
Many people recognize Prince Tai and Mother Gladys from social media. I’ve grown popular through gospel mashups, funny scenarios, church-inspired comedy, and uplifting content. I love creating things that make people laugh, feel encouraged, and remember God’s goodness.
After moving to Atlanta for college, I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and my Executive MBA from Georgia State University. I currently work as an Integration Engineer in telecommunications, which allows me to use the analytical side of my mind while still carrying the creative gifts that have shaped me from the beginning.
Overall, my story is a mix of faith, creativity, hard work, and God’s grace. I owe all thanks to God for where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road, but I can honestly say God has shown me unmerited favor through every season.
One of my biggest challenges has been learning how to trust my own timing. As a creative, it can be difficult to watch peers and colleagues move into opportunities that you have prayed for, especially during seasons where I stepped back, took long breaks from releasing music, or questioned where I fit. Comparison can make you feel like you are behind, even when you are still being developed.
I’ve had to learn that someone else’s open door does not mean God has forgotten about me. Their path is theirs, and mine is mine. That lesson has stretched me, humbled me, and helped me mature.
The road has included moments of doubt, frustration, and feeling overlooked, but those challenges have also made me more grounded. I am learning to see delays not as denial, but as preparation. When I zoom out, I can see that even the difficult seasons have helped shape my voice, my character, my discipline, and my purpose.
I still believe God has a special plan for my life and my creative work. The journey has not always looked the way I expected, but I trust that it is still unfolding with intention.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a multidisciplinary creative with a professional background in technology, fitness, music, and performance. By day, I work as an Integration Engineer, where I use systems thinking, problem-solving, and technical strategy to connect people, platforms, and processes. Outside of that, I’m a fitness instructor, gospel artist, content creator, writer, and performer.
What ties all of my work together is my ability to create experiences that move people. Whether I’m leading a fitness class, writing music, building a script, creating digital content, or developing AI-powered tools for training and nutrition, my goal is always the same: to bring energy, clarity, encouragement, and purpose into the room.
I specialize in blending creativity with structure. I’m just as comfortable analyzing data and building systems as I am performing, storytelling, or leading a room full of people. That combination is what sets me apart. I don’t see creativity and strategy as separate lanes — I use both together.
I’m most proud of the way I’ve built a life that allows me to be a light in different spaces. My work is rooted in connection, faith, discipline, and purpose. I want people to leave every interaction with me feeling seen, challenged, encouraged, and reminded that they are capable of more.
Recently, I’ve been especially excited about using AI to build smarter training and nutrition tools, including dashboards, scripts, and coaching systems that help people better understand their progress. That work represents the kind of creative future I’m passionate about: one where technology, wellness, storytelling, and purpose all come together.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice for finding a mentor or networking is to stop treating it like a transaction. People can feel when you are only reaching out because you need something. The best connections come from being genuine, being curious, and showing up consistently.
For me, one of the most valuable examples of this has been The Cohort, a close accountability group I’m part of with other professionals and leaders. We meet regularly to talk through goals, career moves, business ideas, leadership, and personal growth. That experience has shaped how I see networking. It is not just about meeting powerful people, it is about building trusted spaces where people challenge each other, support each other, and help each other grow.
When it comes to mentorship, I look for people whose life, leadership, or discipline reflects something I want to develop in myself. I also think mentorship can happen in different ways. Some mentors are long-term guides, and others teach you through a single conversation, a project, or even by example.
What has worked well for me is staying authentic, asking better questions, following up, and finding ways to add value before asking for anything. The goal is not just to know more people. The goal is to build relationships that are honest, useful, and rooted in mutual growth.
