Today we’d like to introduce you to Vladimir Fulcado.
Hi Vladimir, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all started in 2019 when I arrived in this country from Venezuela with a suitcase full of dreams and projects, one of which was to promote @elmardicucho in such a way that he was recognized as a comedian through the networks and after that to be able to develop the other project that was to make presentations with the public, type stand up comedy. In the year 2020, I was able to reinvent myself through Instagram and start making short videos, stories and posts so that the talent could be seen and was well received by the public, which turned out and had an excellent receptivity. In the year 2021 I continued in the company and collaboration with several comedians and Instagram influencers, making funny videos, leading to more recognition, views and followers of said platform.
When I reached the middle of the year, I contacted a writer and together we elaborated the script for my stand-up comedy “Come and I will help you” in which I tell my story in a comical way about how I arrived and decided to come to this country. On July 22, 2021 I appeared at a nightclub to premiere my stand up and it was received with love, acceptance and good vibes. In the following months, I opened the show for renowned Venezuelan comedy artists such as “marko” and “Nando de la gente”, in Atlanta and Charlotte, receiving an excellent reception. The year 2022 continued to be one of growth through Instagram, achieving commercial alliances that have taken me to the next level. I also made several presentations in Atlanta with the help of Juan Martínez who is promoting comedy in Spanish and named it “comedy without subtitles” which has achieved great receptivity in the Hispanic community of Georgia. To date, successes do not come by themselves, they are built, and at this moment it is being prepared with one of my commercial partners twice a month for comedy presentations in Spanish in the city of Duluth, specifically in the Venezuelan food store “Todo Frito ”, starting this June 2 at 8 pm.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No road to success, I think it’s smooth, there are always its obstacles. In my case, it was to first arrive in a country that is not yours, learn more about its culture, arrive alone and leave your family that supports you in Venezuela, and practically start from scratch. Then work and not have time to be able to do what you like in order to make money to bring your family. Working and doing what you love sometimes don’t go hand in hand.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work right now is 100% dedicated to @elmardicucho, making content and working and advertising with my business allies. I feel proud of how far @elmardicucho has come and what is missing. I think the difference not the others is that @elmardicucho is authentic, without filters and wanting people to laugh at his crazy things.
What does success mean to you?
Success is defined with the following sequence of words: a lot of perseverance, organization, dedication, work, respect, humility.
