Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Jones.

Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out in 2019, always knowing that I wanted to start a business somewhere in the cosmetic industry. I also just wanted to make some money for myself since I was young and I’m all bout being a Girl/woman with your own money that is very important to me. It’s just that Queen Mentality in me. I’m always figuring out what I could do better or more of. I didnt want to be just another cosmetic business. I wanted to stand out. So that’s when I turned to cosmetic wholesaling, which is basically helping other small businesses start their business by making bulk in products for them to resell. It has not been even a year yet and I have grown tremendously with 22k followers right now and my one-year mark is March 1, 2021.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not all! You risk so much when starting a business. For one, you have so many people telling you that it’s not going to work or you shouldn’t do it but you have to remember, those types of people don’t want to see you win. Number two is how much money I have risked by putting it into my business. I had about $50 and I had to make that work by getting all the things I needed from Amazon. If did work out but in my head, I’m thinking to myself, I just wasted all of my money when I could have gotten a new pair of shoes for that much. At this time, this was when the pandemic made everything go on lockdown and prices started going up so everything got more and more expensive. One last big struggle I would say is the growing part of my business on my first three months of being open. I can honestly speak for all business owners and say the first few months of starting your business. You will not get any growth. It’s hard whenever you have so many other small businesses just like you out there so I just had to find a way to stand out and make my business different from the rest and that’s exactly what I did.

We’ve been impressed with ShopTaysDollhouse, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My two biggest supporters will have to be my mom and my dad. Whenever I first launched, my mom was the first one to post me on her Facebook and all of her Facebook friends bought from me, which really gave me 100x more motivation! My dad focused on getting me a lot of shelving for my products and the legal side for my business!
