Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenton Davis.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I actually got started in the electrical field pretty early. I was in the 10th grade in my hometown of Columbia, South Carolina, and my high school offered electrical classes. I took one and ended up really liking it, so I decided to stick with it.
After high school, I went off to play football on a scholarship, but after some time I realized it wasn’t the path I wanted long term. I made the decision to leave school and go all in on working full time in the electrical trade.
From there, I worked my way up in the field and eventually earned my Journeyman license. In 2017, I moved down to Florida for new opportunities, where I was able to expand my experience even more, including getting into solar work for a period of time.
Then in 2022, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Once I got settled, I focused on leveling up by getting my Georgia Electrical Contractor license. After that, I decided to bet on myself and start my own company, M.D. Contracting Solutions.
Since then, I’ve been focused on growing the business and building a strong reputation, and that’s what’s led me to where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like anything in this field, and especially running a business, there have been challenges along the way.
I’ve been fortunate and blessed that we’ve been able to stay busy and continue growing, but it’s still been a learning curve. Before starting my company, I worked my way up into an operations manager role, so I had experience overseeing projects and managing people. But stepping into business ownership is a different level of responsibility.
You’re not just focused on operations, you’re responsible for everything. Bringing in work, managing finances, making decisions that impact the whole company. So there’s been a lot of learning in that transition.
But overall, every challenge has helped me grow, and it’s all been part of building the business to where it is today.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
M.D. Contracting Solutions is a growing electrical contracting company based in Metro Atlanta. We’re still a relatively young company, but we’ve been able to build strong momentum and a solid reputation in a short amount of time.
We primarily specialize in residential electrical work and solar, which has allowed us to really dial in our quality and service on that side. At the same time, we’re actively working toward expanding further into the commercial space as we continue to grow.
What really sets us apart is our work ethic and reliability. In this industry, those two things go a long way. If we say we’re going to be somewhere or get a job done, we stand on that. Our customers know they can count on us, and that consistency has helped us build trust.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the reputation we’ve built. Being known as a 5-star company isn’t something we take lightly, that comes from doing things the right way, taking care of customers, and being consistent over time.
Overall, I want people to know that we’re committed to what we do, we take pride in our work, and we have a strong vision for growth. Not just as a business, but also in making a positive impact in the community as we continue to expand.
What are your plans for the future?
Right now, the main focus is continued growth and building on the foundation we’ve already created. We’ve been able to generate a lot of momentum, so the goal is to stay consistent, keep delivering high-quality work, and continue strengthening our reputation.
Looking ahead, I’m focused on expanding more into the commercial space while continuing to grow our residential and solar services. I also want to build out a strong team that reflects the same work ethic and standards that the company is built on.
Long term, the vision is to become a go-to electrical contractor in the Metro Atlanta area, known for reliability, quality, and professionalism.
More than anything, I’m looking forward to scaling the business the right way and continuing to create opportunities, both for the company and for the community.
