Today we’d like to introduce you to Demetrice McNeil.
Hi Demetrice, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Move Your Feet Enterprise was born out of ministry and my desire to help women who had goals, dreams, and vision but felt stuck in the process of pursuing them. As a mother pursuing my MBA while navigating personal challenges, I experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to keep moving forward when life doesn’t unfold the way you expected.
In the beginning, my focus was helping women overcome obstacles so they could achieve their personal and professional goals. Through coaching and working with women over the years, I noticed a common pattern: many women knew what they wanted and were fully capable of achieving it, yet after experiencing disappointment, setbacks, or self-doubt, they found themselves stuck—questioning their abilities, losing momentum, and struggling to move forward.
That realization shifted the focus of Move Your Feet Enterprise. I began to understand that many women were not lacking ability, potential, or even desire. Often, they were carrying the weight of disappointment. What looked like inconsistency on the surface was sometimes discouragement, lost hope, or a loss of trust in themselves.
Today, my work centers on helping women identify what is keeping them stuck, rebuild trust in themselves, and take intentional steps forward. That same message inspired my upcoming book, Enough: For the Woman Tired of Starting Over, which was written for women who are tired of repeating the same cycles and ready to move forward with greater confidence, courage, and intention.
My mission is to help women realize they are enough, capable of moving forward, and becoming the woman they have been called to be.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road, but I am grateful for the journey because it has shaped both my work and my perspective.
Like many people, I have experienced seasons where things did not unfold the way I expected. There were goals I worked hard toward that did not happen in the timeframe I imagined, opportunities that did not materialize, and moments when I questioned what was next. Those experiences taught me that disappointment can have a greater impact than we often realize. It can affect your confidence, your hope, and your willingness to keep moving forward.
What I learned through those seasons is that being stuck is not always about a lack of discipline or ability. Sometimes it is the result of carrying unresolved disappointment. Learning how to rebuild trust in myself, keep moving despite uncertainty, and remain faithful to the process became some of the most important lessons of my journey.
Those experiences not only strengthened me personally, but they also shaped the message I now share with other women through my coaching, and speaking.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Move Your Feet Enterprise was created to help women who feel stuck regain momentum and move forward with purpose. Through coaching, speaking, writing, and personal development resources, I help women identify what is holding them back and take intentional steps toward becoming the person they are called to be.
What sets my work apart is that I focus on the person behind the vision. While many people focus on strategy, branding, and external success, I believe lasting transformation begins within. I often say, “Build you, build the business,” because the growth of any vision is connected to the growth of the person carrying it.
My work encourages women to look beyond what they are trying to accomplish and consider who they are becoming in the process. I am passionate about helping women move beyond disappointment, rediscover what is possible, and take the next step forward.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that may surprise people is that I absolutely love to paint. There is something incredibly soothing about creating art and even appreciating the art of others. For me, painting is therapeutic because it allows me to slow down, reflect, and express things that are sometimes difficult to put into words.
I also believe artwork is another way of communication. When I look at a painting, I often see different emotions, stories, and perspectives that inspire my creativity and help me see things through the lenses of others.
