Hi Destinee, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always loved to travel, after taking my first big international trip to Bali, Indonesia and planning it all on my own for my group of friends was the start of it all. The joy and happiness that I felt was unwavering. From there, many of my friends began asking me to help them with their travel plans. The number of stamps on my passport started to grow. I wanted to eat, sleep, and breathe traveling. It became so much apart of my life, it was only right that I turned my passion into a business. Since launching my business, everything skyrocketed for me. The number of inquiries I received off of just being the friend that always travels was unbelievable. It was amazing to know, that people thought of me when it came to exploring the world and trusting me with their best interest and experiences. It has truly become a dream come true!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been smooth, but it also has not been rough. As any traveler will experience, there are obstacles that are out of my control and the best thing I can do is adjust and move forward with what I have to give the best experience for my clients. that can vary from a number of things, such as airline shortages, strikes, rising cost and inflation etc. I am always very transparent and honest with my clients. Sometimes time management is hard to manage with also having a full time job but I always try to make it work because this is my passion and something I would love to last long term.

As you know, we’re big fans of Destinee Departures. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a travel agent that owns a travel agency. I specialize in all types of travel such as; all inclusive, solo travel, group trips, honeymoons, staycation, domestic and international etc. I am available for all your needs and if there is something that I can not help you with, I will connect you with the best person for it.
What sets me apart from most travel agents is that when clients come to me, they do not have to pay an extra fee on top of their travel costs unless it is needed. Most and if not all travel agents, will charge an extra fee when planning your getaways. I’m also available 24/7. I make sure all my clients know that I am always available whenever they need, especially on travel days. I want to make sure I deliver the best and smoothest experience ever. I am always one call and text away every time. I’m always open for new clients and reoccurring clients.
I’m most proud of my consistency since launching my business. As a first time business owner, I’ve been impressed with how much I have evolved and emerged myself into becoming the best agent I can because I want all my clients to explore, experience, and enjoy traveling the same way I do. I make your life easier by doing all the hard work and research that’ll take you days and sometimes to week to figure out. Especially if your schedule is busy, I make it easier for you to not stress over planning, finance, and etc.

How do you think about luck?
I think good luck has really been in my favor and played a role in my life and business, because I have already built a life around traveling that others can see. This builds trust and a safety net for all of my clients and future clients, because it’s visible to the eye that I am living and experiencing the life that they want to indulge in and I can help them with just that.
