Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Wyche.

Hi Kiara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Kiara Wyche. I am the CEO and Founder of SKINSCIENCE CLINICAL SPA and SKINSCIENCE RX COSMECEUTICALS. My personal skincare journey started in my late 20’s after coming a mother. I started experiencing adult acne. Like many, I tried to fix my concerns on my own using DIYs, watching Youtube videos, and by every product in the stores. Eager to learn and correct my acne, I became a Licensed Esthetician.

In 2018, I opened SKINSCIENCE CLINICAL SPA and eight months later, SKINSCIENCE RX COSMECEUTICALS was launched.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As a business owner, I’ve faced many challenges along my journey. Adjusting to the”real world” after becoming Licensed was a major challenge. My job is to create solutions for everyday people with an endless list of possible skin concerns. People come to me to “fix” their concerns every single day. I’ve learned to make time for continuous education and have since become an innovator in my industry.

Two months before opening SKINSCIENCE, I injured my knee, which put a halt in my plans. This set off a series of doubts that I had to mentally overcome. This experience molded me into the entrepreneur I am today. I’ve learned how important mental discipline is. It can make or break a person. Funding my business, trusting my own decision-making, and clapping for myself even when no one else is are all challenges I’ve faced over the years. But obstacles were what makes the victory sweeter.

In 2018, I founded Skinscience Clinical Spa in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. The vision was to create a clinical spa that specifically targets skin correction for all people of color. By implementing a coaching approach, we focus on the customer’s experience, skin conditioning, and skincare knowledge. What started out as a dream to own a clinical spa to treatment and correct common skin concerns for people of color has grown to include the ultimate go-to clinical product line known as SKINSCIENCE RX COSMECEUTICALS in 2019.

How do you define success?
I define success as setting a goal, however big or small, and accomplishing that goal.
