Exploring Life & Business with MARLENE SUAREZ of Suarez Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to MARLENE SUAREZ

Hi MARLENE, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Believe it or not it all started me watching those shows on HGTV lol the fix and flips property brothers etc. I was so fascinated on how they picked up a piece of property and turned it into something so incredible. After 6 years of working for the same company and not being happy I finally decided to act on getting my real estate license. But I didn’t know where to begin. One of my high school friend’s Nada was already in the business of real estate so I reached out to her to see to get started. She did not gate keep anything she told me where to go who to go ad how to get it done. So I did just that. I went to go school got licensed and within in first 10 months of selling part time I was able to quit my 9-5. Glory to God here we are 5 years later I am still in business growing everyday and I am now holding a Real Estate Broker License in 4 states. Georgia Florida North Carolina & South Carolina.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The word smooth and Real Estate do not even belong together lol. This journey has been a roller coaster some days I wanted to give up. I started my career in at the peek of a national pandemic. It was a fast paced market were interest rates were as low as 2% and everyone was buying multiple offers competition was insane and then interest rates sky rocket to nearly 8% and many buyers no longer could qualify for the same amount. Every transaction is SOOOO different. Every client is different. I learn something new everyday and thats the beauty of this business.

We’ve been impressed with Suarez Realty , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Associate Broker helping families all over the world relocate to GA FL NC & SC.

What sets me apart from others?
Resourceful – Being licensed in so many states has allowed me to gain a network of so many amazing individuals which I can use as my resources.
Client Focused – I am the guide for the Latino community to help them achieve home ownership goals.

I’ve been able to build my business relationally by being personable and not transactional. I take the time to get to know the client and their desired outcome to be able to craft the best possible scenario for them.

Knowledgeable – always being a student and educating myself in the constant changes in the market to stay knowledgeable and to be able to adjust if need be.

Detailed oriented – having systems in place to make clients first point of contact to close a smooth and easy process.

My passion for traveling & exploring new places brought me here. I’ve been able to scope out these states best neighborhoods, hottest restaurants and much more. This has given my clients trust to allow me to relocate them.

Need to relocate because of a career change or just looking to explore a new state?

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory has to be when we lived in New York. In the summer time they would open up the fire hydrates and that would be our form of a water park. Every kid from the neighborhood would be outside playing with each-other and then the ice cream truck would come by. New York summers were the best we didn’t really have much but we were all together and thats what mattered the most to me.
