Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Csaszar.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was downsized from Corporate America and I made a commitment to myself that I would never have to depend on a company again to determine my future. I started painting one house at a time by myself in order to make ends meet. I built my business on taking care of one customer at a time. I have been fortunate to rely on referrals and meeting the right people to help expand our services and develop the Atlanta and Florida Emerald Coast markets.
I realized very quickly I could use my business experience, leadership skills and my hands on experience to start a painting company that would deliver a great product and great service for a very fair price. Over the past 26 years we have evolved into one of the best painting companies in the Atlanta area. We then brought our standard of excellence, work ethic and expertise to the Emerald Coast in 2020. My goal is to treat not only my workers like I want to be treated, but to treat each customer how I would like to be treated if the shoe was on the other foot.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Over the past 26 years it has been a smooth road. The way i think if no obstacles happened, it would not be real. You have to be ready for challenges to happen and how we handle the challenges defines us and makes my company stronger.
Obviously, weather plays a major factor in what we do every day. It can change our schedule on a moment’s notice. We have to be able to still deliver a fabulous project on time for our customer.
The overall challenge weather presents for us making is to make sure we can still get the list of projects done and meet the deadlines for our customers.
Secondly, another challenge are the last-minute schedule changes due to various circumstances that come up with customers. We turn it into a positive and keep on moving along and we are able to fill and adjust
the schedule because of our many professional painting crews and ongoing list of projects to complete.
Another challenge in the repaint market, we often have to deal with poor craftsmanship from previous contractors. We turn it into a positive by having my experience painters knowing how to handle the situation and put out a great product for the customer. The key to my success is handling no matter what challenge presents itself and knowing how to handle it.
As you know, we’re big fans of Flawless Painting. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My company is made up of the best painters in both areas with over hundreds of years of experience combined. Each team of painters has a Manager who manages the project from start to finish for the customer. We are one of the only companies that has an owner who is hands on from estimates to completion and always available. Overall, we do both residential and commercial painting projects.
Inside we specialize in painting, drywall, installation of trim, painting cabinets, garage floors. Exterior we specialize in painting any service, decks, fences and wood rot repairs. We are very fair in our pricing structures. We customize the pricing for each customer according to each project.
What sets us apart is my 26 years’ experience, work ethic and a commitment to excellence. Customers know exactly what they are going to get from the first time i meet with them. My detailed proposals, my experienced high-quality painters, processes and procedures and communication. Our brand stands for honesty, trust and integrity. My famous quote: i would not put anyone in your home, that I would not have at my own home!
We deal with many professional trades such as property management companies, real estate agents, general contractors and many business owners. One of our greatest accomplishments is our Triple A rating with the Better Business Bureau over 25 years.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was being on many sports teams and becoming a leader on many of the teams I played on over the years. Playing Semi-Pro baseball at a high level and having successes and failures taught me to be disciplined and resilient. I am able to lead, handle difficult situations with extreme pressure and provide a great service and product for each customer.
