Hidden Gems: Meet Aide Ibarra of Wildflower

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aide Ibarra.

Hi Aide, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into mental health coaching really began through my own healing story. Growing up, I experienced a lot of trauma and instability. I moved between different homes, endured abuse, and never truly felt safe neither in my environment nor within myself. Because of that, I learned to bottle everything up and didn’t feel like I had the freedom to speak about what I was going through.

As I got older, that began to impact my identity. I started believing the labels that others placed on me based on my circumstances, instead of believing what God said about who I am.

In December 2019, everything I had been holding in surfaced. I fell into depression, anxiety, and constant negative thoughts. I was newly married at the time, and what I thought would be a joyful season became the start of my healing journey.

During that time, God really met me in a deep and personal way. Thanks to my family I was connected to a therapist who played a huge role in my healing, and through both faith and practical support, I began to understand what it meant to truly heal mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

I’ve always had a heart to help others, but I realized I needed to allow God to do a work in me first. That led me to intentionally grow, learn, and eventually step into this calling. In 2025, I became a certified mental health coach, and I plan to continue furthering my education in psychology.

Today, I combine my faith with my training to support those who feel stuck, struggle with their identity, or are carrying pain from their past. My goal is to help them reconnect with who God says they are, and find true peace as they move forward with purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There were many challenges along the way, especially unlearning patterns I had carried for years. One of the biggest struggles was facing emotions I had suppressed for so long things like fear, pain, and even confusion about my identity.
Like I mentioned, healing had to start within myself first. And honestly, no one wants to open that door and feel vulnerable and exposed. When I did begin my healing journey, I even felt like I was missing out on life for a season.
My mental health affected every area of my life: my work, family, my identity, and my sense of purpose. I went from feeling like I wasn’t good enough to holding on to the truth that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” .Philippians 4:13.From feeling lost to being found. I thank God for everything He has done in my life. I wouldn’t be where I am today without His guidance and strength. I’d also like to thank my husband, as well as my family, friends, and spiritual mentors, for their constant support and encouragement throughout my journey.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
In 2025, I began offering my services as a mental health coach. I am a faith-based mental health coach who works primarily with women who struggle with their identity due to life experiences and who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. My goal is to walk alongside my clients and help guide them toward understanding who they are in Christ, breaking unhealthy patterns, and moving forward with clarity, healing, and purpose.

I currently offer virtual coaching sessions only, allowing me to support clients in a flexible and accessible way, no matter where they are located. I incorporate scripture and prayer into my coaching sessions to support emotional healing and spiritual growth. My approach is centered on creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and encouraged throughout their journey.

What sets me apart is that my work comes from lived experience. Because of that, I’m able to connect with my clients on a deeper level and support them with both understanding and authenticity. I am also bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English, which allows me to better connect with and serve the Latino community.
One of the things I’m most proud of is creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and free from judgment. I want people to know that through my coaching, they are not alone and that healing and transformation are possible.
If you feel connected to my message or are interested in working with me, I would love to connect with you. You can book a virtual coaching session or reach out for more information through email or Instagram.

I also believe it is important to emphasize that, within my scope as a mental health coach, I do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe medication for mental health conditions. However, I am always happy to guide individuals toward the appropriate licensed professionals and resources when needed.

What does success mean to you?
To me, success is being able to do what you love and continuing to do it, even in the presence of fear. It is learning to find joy in both the small and big things in life, and knowing that anything you set your mind to is possible.

Success is also knowing that you do not have to do life alone. It is being surrounded by the people you love, helping others, and having the privilege of being part of their journey.

Most importantly, success means having the opportunity to lead people to their Creator and being able to witness their transformation, healing, and growth.
