Hidden Gems: Meet April & Tony of Allchemy: A Biophilic Farmacy

Today we’d like to introduce you to April LaCerra and Tony Cuviello.

Hi April & Tony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Allchemy is the culmination of both of our career paths, a total of 37 years in the health & wellness and product development fields. In retrospect, we can see that, previously unknown to us, all roads were leading us here.

We experienced first-hand the lack of prioritization human & environmental health receives in the conventional manufacturing and sale of products. This revealed to us the simple but profound fact that people deserve better. From this need, Allchemy was born.

At its core, Allchemy came from following our hearts and our desire to create what we wanted to see in this world.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Going against the status quo is rarely a smooth road. But the choice to leave behind any perceived security to go in the direction of that ‘thing’ that lights you up, that gift that you have inside of you that you’re meant to share with the world- that will always be worth it. If we all did just that, and followed that call, the world would transform. We have more ability and power – both individually and collectively – than we realize to create the world we wish to see.

We’ve been impressed with Allchemy: A Biophilic Farmacy, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?Allchemy is a reimagined pharmacy wherein one will find clean swaps for the products we all use every day. From deodorant to skincare, protein powder to allergy remedies, laundry detergent to candles (and many things in between), Allchemy is designed to be the store that can help you clean up the products in your household at the pace you’d like to take it.

The store is a judgement-free zone. All are welcome and questions are encouraged! Our goal is to help people real-ize an even greater degree of health than they ever knew was possible. When our bodies do not have to work so hard to process and eliminate toxins from our daily products, health becomes this ‘positive quantity thing’ we may never have known was an option.

What makes Allchemy special is the amount of research that goes into each one of the products on our shelves. Every ingredient of every product in the store (1,500 and growing!) is researched and vetted so you don’t have to. Products are verified to ensure that any claims made on the packaging are in fact true. Our brand partners are intentional with every aspect of their product offerings. They value honesty & transparency while integrating nature’s innate intelligence into their product formulations. (If a brand is not honest or transparent, you won’t find their items in our store.)

Our product selection includes household, cleaning, personal care, skincare, refills; nutritional supplements, and integrated adaptogenic, nootropic, herbal, and homeopathic wellness remedies.

We created Allchemy to bring people cleaner options so you can feel confident you’re making informed choices for you and your family that not only *don’t* add to your toxic load- but actively nourish & amplify your experience of well-being, health, and vitality.

We chose the community of Serenbe in Chattahoochee Hills to be the home of our flagship location as Serenbe is reimagining what a true community can look and feel like. This resonates with us as we know how difficult it can be to buck the status quo. Rebels gotta stick together.

The small choices we make every day have the power to incrementally improve our wellbeing over time. Living clean is not about perfection – that kind of stress is a toxin all its own! Instead, we view progress as the goal. When we make small changes here and there as we are inspired to do so, we may find that we have much more control over our health and our lives than we have been led to believe.

Oh! And one bonus item: We are most excited that in the coming months, we will be offering homeopathic consultations at Allchemy. While we already carry several great off-the-shelf homeopathic remedies from a few outstanding brand partners, we are excited to soon be offering a full suite of both acute and constitutional homeopathic medicine. What matters most to you?
Allchemy is also an education hub sharing health knowledge and the message that the public deserves to be more informed so that they can make better decisions for their health. Our mission is to empower individuals to make conscious, informed choices which organically amplify their health and well-being.

What matters most to us is creating a healing space that you can feel right when you walk through the door. A space where people can feel safe, heard, and more connected to themselves. The products in Allchemy are helpful, but the ultimate alchemy lives in the conversation, the connection and lifting each other up. This is what shows people they’re not alone in their healing journey and that they are capable of more than they may realize.
