Hidden Gems: Meet Callie Spicer of Timeless Spice Events, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Callie Spicer.

Hi Callie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My husband, Ryan, and I have both been DJing and coordinating events for about eight years. It started as something we did for fun and through work functions. When some friends asked us to coordinate and DJ their wedding, we couldn’t say no! That experience completely reignited my lifelong dream of becoming a wedding coordinator – I grew up glued to wedding shows on TLC, always fascinated by the joy and detail that go into such meaningful celebrations. Ryan has always loved music, and his energy as an MC is such a natural fit – he knows how to read a room and bring a couple’s vibe to life perfectly. After that first wedding, we realized this was more than a one-time thing and decided to start advertising our services. The response was incredible, and we officially launched our business, Timeless Spice Events, LLC, in November 2024, and by the end of 2025, we’ll have completed 21 weddings. It’s been such a rewarding journey, and we’re on track for an even more exciting 2026!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall, it’s been a really smooth and natural journey. Honestly, it feels like this is what we were meant to do. From the start, doors have opened at just the right times, and each event seems to lead to the next opportunity. That said, like any small business, there’s definitely been a learning curve. We’ve had to figure out how to balance busy wedding seasons, manage growth, and fine-tune our systems along the way. Every challenge has just reinforced that we’re on the right path. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how much we’ve grown, both as business owners and as a team.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Timeless Spice Events, LLC, we specialize in wedding coordination and DJ services, but at the heart of what we do is hospitality. My husband and I believe every celebration should feel intentional, joyful, and uniquely personal. We’ve both been coordinating events and DJing for years, and our goal is to help couples and families actually enjoy their day, knowing that every detail is taken care of.

We’re known for our calm-in-chaos approach and for bringing a little extra personality and joy to the planning process. Our clients often tell us that we make them feel seen and supported – like they’re working with friends who also happen to be professionals. We specialize in helping couples create beautifully organized, meaningful days that reflect who they are, filled with genuine connection, laughter, and warmth.

What sets us apart is that we’re not just there to manage logistics – we bring heart to everything we do. Ryan’s energy behind the DJ booth creates dance floors that truly reflect each couple’s vibe, and I handle the flow of the day so seamlessly that guests rarely notice how much work happens behind the scenes.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how authentic and approachable we’ve stayed as we’ve grown. Whether it’s a wedding, a baby shower, or a nonprofit gala, we approach every event with the same care and creativity. We want readers to know that Timeless Spice Events, LLC is built on genuine hospitality, flexibility, and the belief that memorable moments don’t have to be perfect – they just have to feel true to you.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I’ve never had one specific mentor, but I’ve learned so much through building genuine relationships within the event and wedding community. Networking for me isn’t about formality – it’s about connection. I make a point to reach out to other coordinators, DJs, and vendors I admire, ask questions, and share experiences. Collaborating on styled shoots, attending local vendor events, and simply showing up for others in the industry have all helped me grow and learn.

My best advice for networking is to approach it with authenticity and generosity. Don’t just think about what someone can do for you – think about how you can add value or encouragement to them too. Some of my best opportunities have come from just being kind, curious, and open to conversation. The event world runs on relationships, and the more you nurture those connections, the stronger your foundation becomes.o
