Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Cybo.
Hi Chef Cybo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Cyion but my people call me Chef, Cybo or Chef Cybo of course. I was born and raised in Atlanta. I grew up mainly playin sports with a passion for cooking. Get cooked on the field, get cooked in the kitchen, either way. I consider myself a “jack of all trades”’ a man of a thousand hats as I find myself invested in quite a bit. Self-proclaimed photographer, not a ‘real chef’ but I cook like it, and I produce music. I feel it’s safe to say anything I put my hand on. I can make it mine. I have a talent for figuring things out. My next venture would be a my restaurant called “Outta This World Wing” and this is where I would really start figuring some things out. I was working a dead-end warehouse gig and felt like I needed a major change. I went on vacation and came back and decided to leave my job. I decided I finally wanted to do something for myself. Knowing my love for the kitchen and feeding my people, I figured I can provide my talents. To no thought would I choose a fan favorite, wings. It took a week to come up with the concept that is Outta This World Wing and on Saturday of that same week, I had my first day of business. It was a great experience starting something you can call your own. I was able to be as creative as I wanted to be with different flavors and changes to the menu often which leaves you wondering what may come next. Aside from wing business, I have other entities of business in photography (EY3.Media) and music production so I tend to find myself very busy. Right now, I am taking some time and learning the business and I’m looking forward to substantial growth.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The start of everything is usually good. Everything feels good and feels right. For me, it took off from the jump and I’d never felt no better feeling. I’d gotten a routine and everything was flowing. There are times where business fluctuates and that’s when I’m in the market for vending opportunities which have played a big part in the success in my business. Peace be the journey.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I consider the business a restaurant. I specialize in wings but I am in the process of expanding menu options. As you all know, there are thousands and successful and operating wing spots, so why would I open one in what seems so saturated? Well, I like to think I’m a little different when it comes down to process as well as flavor. For example, probably my most interesting flavor I have been working on is the Chicken Fredo wing which is a wing tossed in alfredo sauce sprinkled with parmesan cheese and served with marinara dipping sauce and ranch. Now, you don’t see that every day at a wing spot! I’m looking to bring some originality to the wing game. My food is more than visual, you can actually taste what you see. I am still in branding as far as what I want my business to mean to the community other than being a part of your Super Bowl party.
What matters most to you? Why?
Family matters most to me. I’m a family-oriented guy that comes from a very large family and I hope to build a healthy family of my own. I have a strong support system that I wouldn’t trade for the world and I care to repay them with a reciprocated dedication.
