Hidden Gems: Meet Myeisha M. of Pretty Mafia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myeisha M..

Hi Myeisha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Started entrepreneurship journey back in 2018. Started off just researching and learning a lot of things. I had became a parent in 2017, so I started off thinking about being a “mommy blogger” at first, but it wasn’t something I was passionate about. Afterwards, I just jumped into a few different fields such as selling lashes, lipgloss, etc to try and find myself. then officially launched a jewelry brand in 2022, that project is on hold and I may circulate back to in the future. It just wasn’t my calling at the time. So I moved to pretty mafia, which was going to be a clothing brand at first, but God gave me another mission to make it my hair brand. It’s just something I prayed on, I slept on, and I couldn’t shake so. . I transitioned or “rebranded” the jewelry brand into the hair brand (“pretty mafia”) . . I performed my own duties, hired a few people along the way to help, during my outreach to clients, managers, influencers, etc I ran into a great partner who helped me secure a few deals so early in the process. . . She’s truly genuine and an amazing person to have believed in my brand from zero and with nothing. . . Ever since then pretty mafia has been taking off. We have been continuously working strategically to secure deals and grow the brand.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it has not been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges are people management. In business, you deal with people – ALOT, especially as the CEO. Building a strong and trustworthy circle is apart of your success. As a brand grows, you’re introduced to many different relationships and you learn everyone who is genuinely aligned with your vision and who isn’t.

Especially a brand coming from zero and starting small with little to no support, there’s a lot of people who will not understand your vision, so a big part of the process is staying grounded, consistent, and true to the brand even when others don’t see don’t fully understand or see what you see. I think these are the hardest things to deal with as a rising brand.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Pretty Mafia ?
Pretty Mafia is a premium hair brand built around real hair, real women, real confidence. We ethically source high quality, raw hair. Beyond hair, pretty mafia is built on culture and who care about how they show up in the world.

What sets us apart is we don’t just “sell hair” we’re building a brand, an experience. Everything we do from partnerships, collaborations, and visuals are intentional. We are very hands on with our brand approach – working with stylists and creators who align with our vision.

What I’m most proud of is how quickly the brand has moved since we rebranded in January 2026 with limited resources. I was still able to create a strong identity and visuals for the brand that people are able to connect with and actually like. I have been able to organically drive the direction of the brand with limited resources; so that’s very rewarding.

Pretty Mafia stands on real hair, real confidence.

Pretty Mafia launched the Volume 1: Pretty collection ft. Miss Kaniyah. The collection holds our standard black wig starting at $590USD and our pretty platinum wig starting at $690USD. Both are designed for seamless installs, repeated installs, and long time wear. Our raw hair is ethically sourced from India, chosen for its premium quality and natural movement like it’s yours.

How do you think about happiness?
I was raised to help other people, it doesn’t matter in what sector. I want to see everyone happy, smiling, growing, and succeeding. that’s what I’m good at and I love to do that for people. My family raised me that way. My family is known for helping others. I’ve helped others build their credit, build their resume, secure good jobs, grow their business, small things in their life, researching, homework in college, etc. it doesn’t matter what it is I want to see people moving forward and going up.
