Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylar Warren.
Hi Taylar, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Every report card I ever received said the same thing: “great student, but overly social.” I’ve always had a love for communicating, so it made sense that I was on the Public Relations team in high school and ran the yearbook committee. That love followed me to the Missouri School of Journalism, where I majored in Strategic Communications. It was there that I developed my passion for storytelling and the business of marketing, and realized advertising was the perfect place to merge the two.
While I was in school, I needed a portfolio, something to show recruiters and intern coordinators what I was all about. I built my first website, and the first name that came to mind was Warren Works. At the time, I had no idea it would become the name of my agency. I just needed something to call it.
My degree in advertising led me straight into a career in advertising, and advertising gave my love for communication an aim, structure, and goals.
Along the way, I realized that the media strategy, consumer research, and other skills big brands relied on were exactly what small business owners needed too, and that those resources shouldn’t be gatekept for large corporations. Warren Works started from that realization: small business owners deserve access to the same marketing resources as the big guys. The name itself was given to me by God in 2019, and it stuck. With the help of some talented friends and strategists, it’s evolved into what it is today.
Now, Warren Works is a strategic marketing agency specializing in brand positioning and communication strategy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been the roughest road, but being the brains and operator behind the brand is no easy feat. Serving as the strategist for my own brand and business, while also stewarding other people’s brands, takes a lot of mental energy, and doing it well means being intentional about how I manage that energy.
One of the biggest areas I’ve grown in is pricing, learning to place real value on my marketing skills and feeling confident letting that pricing evolve as I, and the business, become more equipped to tackle bigger challenges and deliver stronger results.

How do you define success?
I define success by my clients’ ability to communicate the value of their business in every format, whether that’s on social media, in presentations, in pitches, or with customers. They leave knowing that marketing, in whatever form fits their business, is actually working for them, and they can see the results to prove it.
