Hidden Gems: Meet Yenice Feldmann of The Modern Lash Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yenice Feldmann.

Hi Yenice, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well, my journey started November 2018. I decided to take a leap of faith and try something Out of my comfort zone. At the time, I was working 40 hours a week at Northside Hospital in Administration and I loved it. I ALWAYS loved the medical field but at the time, it wasn’t where I saw myself long term. I decided to do a mini lash course & realized I was naturally good at it and really enjoyed it (even though my first set took 5 hours.)

Once I learned the technique, I practiced until I perfected. I built my clientele simply using Instagram. I would work 12 hour days between both my jobs but I couldn’t give up because in my mind, this had to work, and so it did!

A month ago, I left my job at the hospital to dedicate my all to my growing business and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting up a business is never easy especially when your time is split and you can’t dedicate your all to it. I really missed out a lot of time with my family due to the amount of hours I would be working. I am finally past what I feel like was the most stressful part of this journey, I know tough times will come along the way but I am more prepared.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Modern Lash Bar is a beauty business that specializes in lash extensions. I am known for very dark/dense volume lashes that still have a natural look to them. I have mastered four styles of lashing: classic, hybrid, volume, and mega volume. I make sure to customize every lash set I do to each client’s eye shape and natural lash length. Since it is important to maintain your natural lashes’ integrity, I make sure to customize every lash set according to your natural lashes.

I became a Lashbox LA brand ambassador which has opened so many doors for me and has bettered my skills as a lash artist.

I also provide group and 1:1 lash courses for anyone interested in starting their own successful lash business. I help people learn a skill that can potentially change their life.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To many, success is defined by wealth and fame. To me, success is not being “Instagram famous” or well-known in the industry. It’s being fully booked & setting and achieving concrete goals and dreams. Success to me is simply not giving up and overcoming fears that seem invincible.
