Today we’d like to introduce you to Aline Irakoze.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m 21 years old. I’m a junior at East Tennessee State University, marketing minor and fashion merchandising. I am very passionate about self-care and skin care, I used to struggle with acne until I found a good skin serum that helped. After that, I invested in some good courses, entrepreneur courses and training and started my very first skincare business in November 2022. I sell all organic-based skin care serums that help with acne and blemishes. And I have made lots of sales and gained lots of support in the past few months. I do host my products on my website, as well as in-person sales events. 95 percent of my sales come from in-person sales because I noticed people come to me and find me more approachable and appealing. I am thankful for all the support that my friend and family give me. I am definitely working hard to hit a desired sales goal and customer satisfaction.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So far honestly, it has not been easy at all…starting the business really made me realize how entrepreneurship works and how hard it can be…it has truly made me see how running a business really works and all the challenges that come with it along with all the sales and good moments and opportunities. It has also helped me venture out when it comes to sales, ideas, and marketing plays a very big part of business. Basically most of the sales from marketing depending on how well it is and how people love it. I noticed people bought more from me when they saw my customer reviews, feedback and pictures proof as well as my friendly, inviting face…other than running out of products and misjudging How many I would sell at a given time it has taught me a lot

Hello, I am a beginner aspiring entrepreneur…I love skincare so I sell organic-based skincare serums..my serums help with anyone who struggles with dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin and blemishes. Most of my customers saw a great difference in their skin’s appearance after two weeks of consistent use of my products. In fact, their review speaks for themselves. I went to help those who lost their confidence due to acne gain their confidence back and to know that their skin can be healed and look youthful again.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Yes, I would say put yourself out there about your business or the services that you provide to others. Especially for those are already successful in the industry that you want to get into as well because they can teach you lots. I do have a mentor who helps me a lot. And she gives me the best advice. I would say definitely get a mentor who is older and speak to those who are already successful in the industry you are interested in.
