Inspiring Conversations with Crystal Springer of Brilliant Streams Technology

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Springer.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve enjoyed technology for as long as I can remember. I started learning to code way back in 3rd grade and always knew I wanted to have a tech-based career. I got my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Systems and did software testing and development for a major corporation for 17 years before leaving the corporate world to have more time with my family.

Shortly before I left corporate, I was introduced to a network marketing company that opened up a whole new world for me. I embraced the products for my whole family (and we still use them regularly), but I was a terrible network marketer. Instead of telling people about our products, I taught other reps how to use things like Canva, PowerPoint, Zoom, and other online tools so they could more easily share the products with their people. That’s when I knew technology was still where I belonged.

In 2019, I met an incredible business coach who would help me give myself permission to officially start my new business. Brilliant Streams Technology was born!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, but I’m not sure life or business really ever are. The challenges are what shape us.

One of my biggest ongoing challenges has been balancing my commitment to my business with my dedication to my family. The “mom guilt” is real; when I’m working, I feel I should be spending time with my family, and when I’m with family, I worry about falling behind on client deliverables. This mental tug-of-war has been one of the toughest aspects of entrepreneurship for me.

I’ve also battled with imposter syndrome, which has sometimes held me back from being more visible online and fully stepping into my expertise. Despite the positive results I consistently deliver for clients, that internal voice questioning whether I’m qualified enough has been a significant hurdle.

What’s helped me navigate these challenges is implementing some of my own medicine – creating structure through dedicated client days and specific task assignments. Hiring an assistant to handle tasks that don’t specifically require my expertise has been transformative for my capacity and focus. And perhaps most importantly, I’ve committed to regular mindset work, recognizing that imposter syndrome is something most entrepreneurs face periodically, not a reflection of my actual capabilities.

The road certainly hasn’t been smooth, but working through these challenges has made me both a stronger entrepreneur and a more empathetic service provider who truly understands the struggles my clients face.

Second, I provide comprehensive email deliverability solutions, from technical setup to content optimization, for businesses sending one-to-one client communications or managing subscriber lists up to 10,000 contacts.

What are your plans for the future?
I’m excited to be expanding in a way that will serve an even broader range of entrepreneurs. Through my work, I’ve observed that while many clients prefer comprehensive implementation services where I handle their systems from start to finish, there’s a growing segment who are eager to develop their own technical skills and take a more hands-on approach.

In response to this need, I’m preparing to launch a membership community specifically designed for business owners and virtual assistants who want to master the technologies that power their businesses. This membership will provide structured learning paths, step-by-step implementation guidance, and ongoing support for those navigating the sometimes complex world of business systems and automation.

The membership represents an exciting evolution for my business, allowing me to share my expertise at a more accessible price point while building a collaborative community where members can learn not just from me, but from each other’s experiences as well. I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the ripple effect as members implement what they learn and experience the same kind of transformational results my one-on-one clients have achieved.

This expansion aligns perfectly with my mission of making powerful business systems accessible to more entrepreneurs, ultimately helping them grow their businesses without sacrificing their wellbeing in the process.
