Inspiring Conversations with Ensie Durin of Highly Hers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ensie Durin.

Hi Ensie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with a personal struggle-finding stylish, well-fitting clothing as a tall woman has always been a challenge. Shopping felt frustrating, with most stores offering only a small, uninspired section for tall women or forcing us to shop online, where prices were high, and sizing was inconsistent. I knew I wasn’t alone in this struggle, and that’s when I realized there was a real gap in the fashion industry that needed to be filled.

I decided to turn that frustration into a solution. My vision was to create a dedicated space where tall women could find clothing made specifically for them—without limitations. But beyond just clothes, I wanted to build a community where tall women could feel seen, celebrated, and confident in their everyday lives.

Now, I’m working on opening the first physical store in Atlanta exclusively for tall women, offering stylish, size-inclusive pieces that make them feel empowered. This isn’t just about fashion—it’s about representation, confidence, and creating a movement that allows tall women to embrace their height with pride. I’m so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to see this vision come to life!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t been smooth, but every challenge has made this journey even more rewarding. One of the biggest struggles has been doing everything from scratch-from designing and creating the clothes myself to building a business with little to no blueprint for a physical store catering to tall women. Since the fashion industry hasn’t prioritized us, I’ve had to be resourceful in crafting pieces that are both stylish and truly fit our proportions.

Another challenge has been educating people on why this is so necessary. Many don’t realize how limited the options are for tall women, so I’ve had to not only create the solution but also bring awareness to the problem.

Funding has also been a hurdle because launching a business-especially a physical retail space-takes significant investment. But despite these challenges, the response from the tall community has been incredible. Every time a tall woman tells me how much this means to her; it reminds me why I started.

This journey is about more than just clothing-it’s about changing the narrative, increasing visibility, and ensuring that tall women finally have a place where they feel seen and celebrated. The road hasn’t been easy, but the vision keeps me going, and I know this is just the beginning!

As you know, we’re big fans of Highly Hers. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is all about creating a space where tall women feel seen, celebrated, and stylish. I specialize in designing fashion-forward, well-fitting clothing made exclusively for tall women, something that has been missing in the industry for far too long. instead of settling for small sections in mainstream stores or online options that are out of some budgets, tall women now have a dedicated place to shop where everything is made with them in mind.

What sets me apart is that i don’t just sell clothes-I create them. Every piece is thoughtfully designed to complement tall proportions while reflecting personal style. This isn’t just about length-It’s about proper fit, flattering silhouettes, and clothing that makes tall women feel confident in their everyday lives.

I’m most proud that this will be the first physical store in Atlanta dedicated entirely o tall women. This store will not only offer stylish, size-inclusive clothing but will also serve as hub for community, empowerment, and connection. From styling events to meetups, I want this space to be a place where tall women feel like they truly belong.

For anyone who has ever struggled to find clothes that fits and style their body or simply wants to be around others that gets the tall life: this is for you. I’m here to make sure tall women feel unstoppable-because it’s all Highly Hers.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is creating a space where tall women feel seen, confident, and connected-both through fashion and community. Finding stylish, well-fitting clothing as a tall woman has always been a struggle, and I’m solving that by opening the first physical store in Atlanta dedicated to tall women. This store isn’t just about offering clothes that fit-it’s about giving tall women a place where they belong.

Beyond fashion, I’m building a community where tall women can come together, share experiences, and uplift one another. Through stylish events, meetups, and confidence-building workshops, I want to create a space that’s more than just retail-it’s a movement. Whether they’re shopping for the perfect outfit or attending an empowering event, I want every tall woman who walks through my doors to leave feeling bold, seen and connected to their full selves.
