Today we’d like to introduce you to Janece Streeter.
Hi Janece, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Real estate has always been about people for me. Before becoming a Realtor, I knew I wanted a career that allowed me to build relationships, serve others, and make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions most people will ever make, and I was drawn to the opportunity to help guide people through that journey.
Over the years, I have built my business on trust, education, and genuine connection. Today, I work alongside my husband, Ivory, as part of The Streeter Realty Co. Together, we are committed to treating our clients like family and providing a level of service that goes beyond the transaction itself.
Becoming a wife, mother, and entrepreneur has also shaped the way I approach my business. It has deepened my appreciation for what “home” truly means and strengthened my commitment to helping others find a place where they can build memories, create stability, and thrive.
Looking back, my journey has been one of continuous growth, learning, and service. I’m grateful for every client who has trusted us along the way, and I’m excited about continuing to expand my impact both in real estate and in the community I love serving.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I think that’s true of most entrepreneurs. Early on, one of the biggest challenges was realizing that being a great Realtor and being a successful business owner are two very different skill sets. Helping clients buy and sell homes came naturally to me, but learning how to run a business: creating systems, managing finances, building a budget, understanding profit and loss statements, and making strategic decisions, required a completely different level of growth.
As our business became more established, the challenges evolved. Instead of simply trying to get the business off the ground, I found myself focused on scaling while maintaining the high level of service our clients expect. Growth is exciting, but it also requires intentionality, organization, and a willingness to continuously adapt.
One of the biggest transitions recently has been becoming a mom. Just as business was gaining momentum, I entered a new season of life that required me to slow down and reevaluate how I spent my time and energy. Balancing motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship has been both rewarding and challenging. I had to learn that doing more isn’t always the answer. It’s about creating better systems, setting priorities, and being fully present wherever I am.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Streeter Realty Co. is a husband and wife real estate team powered by Keller Williams. We help people buy and sell homes, but at our core, we’re really in the business of helping people navigate life’s transitions and building relationships.
What sets us apart is our relationship first approach. We don’t believe in a one size fits all process. Every client has a unique story, different goals, and different challenges, so we take the time to truly understand their situation and create a strategy to fit their needs. We want our clients to feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.
Over the years, we’ve become known for helping homeowners whose listings previously expired, as well as assisting individuals navigating difficult situations such as divorce and foreclosure. These transactions often require a higher level of communication, problem solving, and care, and we’re proud to be a trusted resource during those challenging seasons.
Brand wise, what I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built. Our business has grown through relationships, referrals, and genuine connections We strive to treat every client like family and create an experience that extends far beyond the closing table.
If there’s one thing I want readers to know about our brand, it’s that we’re passionate about helping people build wealth, create stability, and achieve their goals through real estate. Whether someone is buying their first home, selling their fifth, or facing a difficult life transition, we want them to know they don’t have to navigate it alone.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
One thing I’d like readers to know is that you don’t have to be ready to buy or sell a home to reach out to us. Some of the most meaningful conversations we have start with someone simply looking for information, guidance, or a better understanding of their options.
We believe real estate can be overwhelming, especially when you’re facing a major life transition or making a decision that impacts your family’s future. That’s why we’ve worked hard to create a space where people feel comfortable asking questions without feeling pressured into a transaction or commitment.
Whether you’re thinking about buying a home next month, next year, or five years from now, wondering if selling is the right move, facing a difficult situation, or simply curious about the market, we’re happy to be a resource. If we can provide clarity, education, or point someone in the right direction, that’s a win in our book.
At the end of the day, our goal is to serve our community first. Real estate is what we do, but helping people is why we do it. We want people to know they can come to us for honest advice, trusted guidance, and supportwhether or not they ever become a client.
