Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Austin. 

Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started my business October 2019, I just celebrated 3 years… woohoo! I started making customized, designer-inspired bangles and eventually, I started adding earrings, then other styles of jewelry, such as necklaces, rings, bracelets. During the summer of this year, I did add clothes and shoes, but I’m still uncertain if I want to continue to sell those particular items. One thing that I am very proud of, recently I’ve started shipping internationally, shout out United Kingdom, New Zealand, Netherlands, and Canada. I was very excited and proud that my brand had reached that far. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, some days you sell out of items, then some days you don’t get any sales at all. You have to be patient and know this is all part of having a business, the ups and downs.

aJassyCustoms is me, I always say “I AM MY BRAND” majority of the time when I’m out, I will be wearing something that I sale, why not? If you’re not promoting and advertising your brand, then why should anyone else. I try to keep my prices affordable, yet still providing good quality and some Jass! My TOP seller is the “Digel” hoops, which come in two different sizes and colors, gold and silver. These earrings are very popular, I came up with the name of the hoops, from a name I gave my daughter when she was little, meaning Diva & Angel. My daughter, Mikaria Janae is a YouTuber and influencer, those earrings are her favorite to wear, so when she post pictures in them, they SALE OUT, every time. I’m very thankful!
