I’ve always known I wanted to be something great while simultaneously helping to serve others in the most efficient and effective way possible. As someone who is very Faith-Driven, I continue to operate as a True Humanitarian in all ways known possible. Originally from Dothan, Alabama I moved to Boston, Massachusetts when I was only seven years ago. After graduating high school, I planned to attend Clark Atlanta University, one of the top HBCU’s in the world. During my time at CAU, I have had the pleasure of working with amazing companies, individuals, as well as organizations such as : Think It’s A Game Records, General Motors, Tyler Perry, Old Colony Planning, Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash, Save A Girl Save A World, CAU Student Chairman Student Ambassador, NowThat’sTV, Atlanta National Sales Network and many more.
As a recent Alum of Clark Atlanta University, I am utilizing my expertise in Public Relations, working as a Crisis Management Specialist and Publicist. I am now embarking on starting Suffolk University where I’ll obtain my JD, studying Crisis Communication and Litigation. I will be working at the State House in Boston, Massachusetts under Mayor Wu and State Representative Chynah Tyler as Chief Of Staff member. I am excited to continue my journey in helping others and making their lives better in all ways.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have been through a number of obstacles/challenges in my professional and personal life that have continued to mold and support me in every endeavor I’ve ever faced. In no way shape or form has life been a smooth road for me, there have been substantially struggles along the way. I am so grateful I possess the willpower to continue, to fight on. The strength alone came only from the Almighty. From rejection letters to missed opportunities, and unfortunate fallouts, I have had my fair share of heartbreak when it comes to my professional and also personal success, however my resilience has always been a leading factor in my life. Even in the midst of adversity, I still had the resilience to persevere and make a way out of no way.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Honestly, while having a mentor is considered to be extremely helpful and beneficial moment to one and the impact in one’s life, I would say focus more on watering and taking care of self so that in the right time and moment of needing a mentor, you are connected to someone who will actually help, guide, and mentor you in the best way possible. As someone, who currently has no physical mentor, I look to guidance from God and I thank Him for continuing to surround me with like-minded and successful individuals. Networking is also very important and I think that in many ways it will help to propel one’s life if used correctly. It’s very important to stay authentic and true to yourself. You don’t have to downplay yourself. Utilizing my personality has worked very well for me, while also knowing and staying true to my work.
