Inspiring Conversations with Kristin Tansey of Shine Energy Healing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Tansey.

Hi Kristin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years. Most of that time was in NYC. My specializations include designing bras, intimate apparel, and activewear. I’ve always been fascinated with the human body, mind, and spirit. Studying natural health and wellness was my hobby.

I love learning and looked forward to listening to podcasts about health, fitness, meditation, and yoga on my commute to the office every day. I imagined combining my design expertise with wellness and even shifting to a wellness career.

Physical and emotional stress from my career plus living and working in NYC contributed to physical imbalances, myofascial pain, and trigger points in my body. I always looked for natural ways to solve my health concerns.

My first experience with energy healing was in a kundalini yoga class in 2018. The teacher was the most welcoming yogi I had ever met. She led the class through a set that introduced me to breath of fire and sat kriya. I felt an incredible infrared heat within and a state of bliss that had me hooked on the practice. I loved that I could access and direct this energy. This was too good to keep to myself, so I enrolled in Kundalini Yoga teacher training, with this teacher, and it’s one of the best gifts I have ever received.

On my way to work one day in 2020, I listened to an interview with Dr. Bradley Nelson, the creator of Emotion Code, Body Code, Belief Code. He was a chiropractor for many years. In practice, he found that trapped emotions were the root cause of many of his patients’ illness and physical imbalances.

He explained that unprocessed emotions become lodged in the body like a ball of energy. This creates distortions that block the flow of energy in the body, causing misalignments, pain, and illness. He teaches how to work with the subconscious mind and use muscle testing to identify and release the energetic charge of the trapped emotions from the body. This allows the body to come into balance for healing.

This resonated with me because I never expressed my emotions. I held everything in. I was still experiencing trigger points, and knew this modality could help me, so I found a practitioner and scheduled my first session. It was fascinating, felt lighter, and my mind and body processed what was released over the next few days. My body felt balanced, I had an 80% reduction in myofacial pain within 10 days of my fist session.

I continued to work with this practitioner for a series of sessions and felt so calm and free of pain. The trigger points released and stopped forming. In addition to this, I received benefits beyond my expectations. This included forgiveness for myself and others, releasing layers of shame, anger, fear, and betrayal from my life, from my ancestors, and past lives.

This inspired me to become a certified practitioner to continue the work on myself, for my family and clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Many of my Emotion Code / Body Code / Belief Code clients do this work with me in secret and don’t want their family and friends to know. It’s important to know that everyone has trapped emotions. Releasing trapped emotions benefits the client and everyone in their life. It improves relationships, health, and opens up the ability to give and receive love and abundance in all areas of life. This work is beautiful.

We’ve been impressed with Shine Energy Healing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in the following modalities:

1. Emotion Code / Body Code / Belief Code – I provide private sessions and group sessions.

2. Kundalini Yoga – Classes and Workshops.

3. Yogic Technology for Addictive Behavior and Mental Health – Classes and Workshops

In Emotion Code, Body Code, Belief Code sessions, I use these modalities and work with the subconscious mind to identify and release the energetic charge of trapped emotions from the body.

Everyone has trapped emotions. These distortions can cause misalignments in the body, physical pain and create an environment for illness.

With Emotion Code we can clear the Heart wall. The Heart Wall is made of layers f trapped emotions that build up around the heart like armor. These walls interfere with relationships, giving and receiving, and achieving goals.

With body code we can go deeper and discover how energetic distortions are affecting the body. Body Code woks with acupuncture meridians, the brain and neverous system, organs and glands, muscular skeletal systems, chakras and energy body.

In a session I use muscle testing to identify trapped emotions and distortions and guide your body to release the energetic charge through the governing acupuncture meridian.

This work is gentle. Clients relax while I do the work. Its common to feel physical sensations in the body and a sense of lightness as the energy is shifting.

With Belief Code we identify faulty belief systems that are stored in the subconscious. We work together to release them and replace with new positive belief systems that are in alignment with your goals.

Most of our subconscious beliefs are formed by age 10. They may also be inherited.

The conscious mind is the goal setter, but only responsible for 10% of our behavior.

The unconscious mind is the goal getter and responsible for 90% of our behavior.

Belief Code is highly effective in aligning our conscious and unconscious mind to achieve goals and live with more joy.

Kundalini Yoga

Everyone has Kundalini energy. It lies dormant at the base of our spine.

This powerful life force is activated with yoga postures, meditation techniques, and breathwork. When this energy moves freely upward through the spine and chakras, it strengthens the mental, physical, and spiritual health of our being. A clarity arises that enhances perception, thought, and intuition.

Kundalini Yoga is a holistic technology from ancient traditions that helps us thrive in a modern life.

It balances the nervous and glandular system for the ability to manage stress.

A typical Kundalini Yoga class structure includes:

Kriya – is a complete sequences of asanas for specific benefit. The purpose may be for overall wellness, or an individual organ or body system.

Mantra – chanting mantra creates vibrations with the ability to elevate or alter consciousness. Chanting stimulates the meridians on the upper palette of the mouth directing the energy flow through the hypothalamus, pituitary, and pineal glands.

​Pranayam- breathwork techniques.

Savasana- rest

​​Meditation – Kundalini meditations are dynamic and often combine mantra, eye focus, mudra, and specific breath pattern.
