Inspiring Conversations with Lane Thurman of eso.projects

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lane Thurman.

Lane, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got my start as a handy person, at a local preschool, helping with minor things like drywall repair, painting and moving mounted shelves and the like. I was offered the maintenance position, and have been learning everything I could since then. The reason I thought eso was needed, was the community, family and friends needing work done and finding someone reliable.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wouldn’t say that owning my business has been an easy ride. While I have a lot of creative freedom to work my schedule. Having a family also lands high on my priority list, so fine tuning my calendar to spend time with them has made every struggle seem like a cake walk.

As you know, we’re big fans of eso.projects. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
With eso, I find it imperative to build core values and belief’s to live by. Ours have grown to be, honesty first, ownership and accountability second, attention to detail, compassion, and finally communication. The way I see it, we’re all just doing our best to get through the day, especially in our current state. I think we need more care for our neighbors and community. I hope I represent that for my brand and continue to learn to do it better.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Well to start, I’m engaged to marry the most delightful human I have ever met. We have three beautiful, smart, strong and definitely silly little kiddos that keep us young. I used to be a cook in local restaurants like Corner Tavern (all of them) and Ammazza (also both locations) before I started fixing homes.
We do a child led pet foster and we just adopted two chickens. I think the coolest thing about me is I have a fraternal twin, that teaches English in Beijing China!
