Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Vasquez.

Luis, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always had a passion for numbers and helping people make sense of their finances. After earning my Master’s in Accounting, I took a staff accountant role at a corporate firm — but I kept noticing a gap in my community. Small business owners, especially Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs in NW Georgia, were either handling their books themselves or going without proper financial oversight entirely.

In April 2026, I launched Vasquez Bookkeeping LLC to fill that gap. My goal was simple: bring professional, bilingual bookkeeping to small businesses in the NorthWestern area who deserve the same financial clarity as larger companies — without the big firm price tag.

I’m still in the early stages, but every day I’m building something I’m proud of — a business rooted in my community, in both languages I call my own.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not smooth. The biggest challenge has been building trust and credibility as a brand new business with no client history behind me. Small business owners are putting their finances in your hands — that’s a big ask for someone they just met.

Client acquisition has been humbling. I’ve had promising leads fall through, conversations that went cold, and moments where I questioned my timing. Balancing a full-time accounting job while building Vasquez Bookkeeping from the ground up also means my time and energy are constantly stretched.

But honestly, the challenges have sharpened me. Every “not yet” has pushed me to refine my approach, tighten my pricing, and get clearer on who I’m serving and why. I’m still in it.

Vasquez Bookkeeping LLC is a bilingual bookkeeping firm serving small business owners in the areas of Northwest Georgia. We specialize in QuickBooks Online bookkeeping, financial cleanup, and monthly financial management for small and growing businesses.

What sets us apart is simple: we serve our clients in both English and Spanish. Northwest Georgia has a large and hardworking Spanish-speaking business community that has historically been underserved when it comes to professional financial services. We exist to change that.

I have a Master’s in Accounting, so clients get professional-level expertise without the big firm price tag. Our tagline says it all Tu Contador. Your Bookkeeper. We’re not just a bookkeeping service, we’re a resource for business owners who want to understand their numbers and build something lasting.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 years I want to be able to help transform many small businesses into a dominant business within their markets. I believe with my expertise I can help small businesses understand their numbers and make great Financial decisions!
