Hi Melissa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Melissa Howard my business was founded back in 2006 by me and my sister it was called Marvelous Clothing but it didnt do well with me having a partner so me and my sister parted ways and I brought her out. I stayed open there for 3 more years and ended up opening up a beauty supply store till I moved it to GA in 2013 then I started Elegant Greek Jewelry. I sell merchandise for all the Black Sororities and fraternities and some HBCU its located at 1395 Southlake Parkway Morrow Ga 30260. My motto is “shop at Elegant Greek where the price is right and your guaranteed to stay tight” my goal is to sell my stuff at good price and I love to give back to my community and I have big plans for Christmas this year. Im very Thankful God has brought me a long way with my business and it has became very successful over the year. I’m a proud member of Top Ladies Of Distinction a service organization and they do a lot for the community and the Top Teens Of America which is a very big part of Top Ladies Of Distinction. So my biggest goal is to give back to are Top Teens and are community. I open up a 2nd location down in Albany 1st Week of September so im excited about that.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not been smooth I had to start from the bottom to the top it was never nothing giving to me I started small and made my way big and bigger and bigger. All money I make I put back is the company now I have over a Million dollars in Merchandise. And I make over 500,000 a year i plan to make my first Million next year. I struggled but I kept going I never gave up no matter how hard it was now look at me I see the success now

We’ve been impressed with Elegant Greek Jewelryi , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in merchandise for the Black Sororities and Fraternities plus a few Hbcu and Black organizations. Im known for good quality and good prices. What sets me apart from the others is I sell most my items really reasonable alot better then others in same business. My sweater items and my patches is what im known for. Please Come to the store and check me out and I offer new member discounts I offer bulk discount orders for Chapters and sections.

How do you think about happiness?
I love to give seeing the smile on people face makes me really Happy
