We’re looking forward to introducing you to Antione Joyner. Check out our conversation below.
Antione, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Wake up – 5 AM
Gym- 5:30 AM
Walk Dogs – 6:30 AM
This is been my set schedule ever since I took going to the gym very serious. I’m already a morning person since birth lol but getting up at 5 AM also taught me the importance of sleep and back in the day I would have been going to sleep at 5 AM from designing all nite. Rest is key now.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Antione Joyner is the founder and creative force behind Roy G. Biv Products — a lifestyle and fashion brand “Engineered in Color.”
Rooted in the intersection of art, culture, and craftsmanship, Antione builds clothing and objects that blend Japanese minimalism with bold American expression. His work reflects a lifelong exploration of individuality, color psychology, and storytelling through design. Each capsule — from the Hue Man series to RGB Freight — connects fashion with purpose, community, and emotion.
With an eye for detail and a background shaped by both street culture and luxury aesthetics, Antione has developed Roy G. Biv Products into more than a brand — it’s a creative language. Through visual storytelling, collaborations, and limited-edition drops, he continues to expand what it means to live engineered in color.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
The same person.
I’ve never a single person nor online chatter determine who I am as a Man and as a Designer/creative.
The world is full of consumers looking for answer and not providing them.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of letting my loved ones down.
I set a certain standard with myself that brought me extremely far in my career and that’s what keeps me going and grounded.
Always remember it’s a marathon and not a race.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Life is about experiences, and experiences bring wisdom.
You can’t always get wisdom from a book and think that’s what smart people miss sometimes.
Life is also about breaking rules, so sometimes doing something “the smart way” isn’t the best way.
Think about it, the iPhone something everyone on the planet was created by lazy people, people that just want A to B to C. Not A squared equals B squared. And when I use the term lazy people I’m not saying the company is lazy, I mean they actually created the phone from a group study of people doing certain tasks asking how can we make this device more simple for the average person.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think people might underestimate how intentional everything is. They might see the colors, the minimalism, the storytelling — but not realize how deeply thought out every decision is. My work isn’t just aesthetic; it’s engineering emotion through design. That’s something people might not fully understand until later.
