Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Chauntee Rose of Atlanta

Chauntee Rose shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Chauntee, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I really enjoy being an artist, From glam to filming music videos, I’m loving every moment of this journey.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Chauntee Rose. I am an artist that sings, dances, and love looking good all the time. What makes my music unique is that I am super expressive about what I want, how I feel, and what I like to do. I have zero regrets and no filter with my music. I just dropped my new Ep, What’s Tee?, a small introduction into Chauntee Rose. As a little girl, I think I’ve always wanted to be a performer. I was in choir as a child and dance in high school. I just never took the leap of faith until last year on my birthday. I made my first song called Baddie the very first time I’ve recorded in a studio. Ever since then, I’ve been going all in and pursing my career as an Artist.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My mother. She literally worked and provided for me my whole life. By watching my mom, I was able to learn not only how to work hard but how to maneuver in this world.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me that every single moment in my life is about a choice. You make the wrong choices you suffer. You make the best choices you win. So instead of making the wrong choices make the best choices that you have a good feeling that will turn out good for you.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That yall don’t like big butts lol. Everyone in the industry wants a bigger butt as it may make them feel better about themselves.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop not having a set schedule every day. Sounds crazy but all the work I’m doing now will be 10x better once I structure my schedule better. I made a commitment to myself to go hard until the every end.
