Today we’d like to introduce you to Candace Hawk.
Spreading the Health was founded in 2016 by Candace Hawk, Health Activist, and Entrepreneur. Candace started Spreading the Health with sure hopes that her signature all natural juice recipes would provide a convenient yet nutritious beverage alternative in the urban community. Spreading the Health’s mission is to enlighten and educate people not only regarding health by juicing but in knowing that everything is one. What you consume can very well affect every aspect of your life – Mind, Body, and Soul. We move with the intention of creating a path to build, uplift, and/or change anyone in any capacity for the better. True health, self-love, and clarity are all benefits of what we offer when you choose Spreading the Health.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Obstacles of entrepreneurship are inevitable. The road has not been easy, but definitely rewarding. Fortunately, my 15 years of experience as a business owner has taught me to appreciate the good along with the bad. My advice to any young female pursuing entrepreneurship to simply trust the process.
Please tell us about Spreading The Health.
I am a health activist and a wellness coach. I specialize in encouraging and aiding people in urban communities to change the narrative we know as common “health”/”wellness” and learn to master their mind. I am known for creating and facilitating the largest group detox in the Atlanta metro area with my all natural signature juices. I’m most proud of the impact my work has, seeing peoples lives change for the better. I’m only working from experience there is no secret formula. I’ve overcome so much, (i.e., physically, emotionally, mentally) I simply use myself as a walking billboard; train your mind – train your life.
Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
Quite obviously, we are living in a man’s world. However, I have personally seen no barriers and I strongly believe it’s because I’ve always taken on a “get it done regardless” mindset. Raised by a single working mother, I never got the chance to use my feminity as a reason to why I couldn’t get anything done.
