Today we’d like to introduce you to 67 Vine.
Hi 67, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a kid I immediately experienced a form of domestic violence, coming from someone who you’d least expect.
Not allowing that trauma to define my character over my lifespan, I instead used that pain and made art as a way to express myself. In about the 5th grade my best friend at the time shared with me his passion for writing music and we came together as a group 1st.
My father was also a DJ so as I tapped into my creative side I came across a crate full of cassette tapes of his “Yea that long ago lol” and found some soulful music across many genres. One of my favorite tapes back then was Paid n Full by Rakim, who happens to be in my top 5 artist list. Along with Its Dark and Hell is Hot of course by DMX, another legend hands down.
Music then became a sort of therapy for me, and I never stopped being a true creative.
Today I use my passion for music to push my actual business which is Tuff Cleans- a commercial cleaning company which also serves as a resource for the community to help keep the neighborhood and its alleyways clean and to teach the youth nobility, acts of kindness, and how important it is to at least upkeep your own community.
I also have an eye for fashion, so I dabble in clothing, which is branded- GOOD SOLID PEOPLE, our website is under construction currently but yea we get into activism as well, we as godly creatures must take care of the planet and life around us, if not then who will?
My journey isn’t over, as I fight an injustice system which aims to tarnish my character and credibility, I hope to expose how my state has been rendering illegal sentences and violating the separation of powers doctrine of the US constitution. Maybe I’ll help change law statue or at least get my case overturned and expunged. I made poor decisions and I’ve made awesome decision, in the end I learned and grew from those consequences, but ignorance of the law can be deadly to us all, just look at how the world is unfolding now.
Thanks to my family and true friends around me who kept reminding me of the important things in life that’s often overlooked, I’ve maintained the motivation and drive to stand solid and fight with faith and dignity.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all! Honestly, I don’t think any road is smooth, even if the pavement is crispy, you’ll still run across a bump, dip, hill, sharp turn or quick U turn that will be sudden if you’re not aware of the road map you wish to lay out.
Most of my struggle has been finding genuine company that believes in my talent, vision, and goals as much as I do. I mean it’s even hard to date nowadays it’s like people don’t know how to accept love, so they know not how to give it!
I remember I did my first show out of my own pocket and not one person I expected to show up and support actually did, my pop pulled up but didn’t want to pay the cover charge so he said he slid or whatever.
That hurt but it came at a time where I’m more in control of my emotions and how I respond to things that upset my frequencies.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Like I was saying, as an Artist/ Entrepreneur I specialize in Commercial Cleaning, Fashion, and Activism. I’m known for making good quality music and a unique sound that hasn’t been heard before. My debut album “Dirty Rumors Lie Here” is a plot to my journey and the power of rumors. Never believe what you hear without doing your own hands-on research. The way a person carries themselves in public speaks a lot about how you should view them. The way I flow, the songs I create are all true to the culture of existing, and my character says a lot about the qualities of my heart. I’m most proud of being an active father and a warrior of God! I take pride in leading by example.
What sets me apart is my inability to allow anyone else experience to dictate my risk-taking skills. In life we must be brave enough to take risk and even braver when the risk isn’t a reward in return, however the reward is always in the lesson not what you physically or monetarily gain. Most artist/ entrepreneurs don’t get that so yea I’m very set apart from others, with that trait alone!
