Life & Work with Debbie Cook of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Debbie Cook.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Dee Cook is a visionary leader, faith-driven entrepreneur, and two-time bestselling author whose work spans nonprofit leadership, global ministry, and business innovation. As Founder and CEO of Annie’s House Foundation, she champions youth aging out of the foster care system — giving them a foundation, a future, and a fighting chance.

Honored as one of Georgia’s 100 Women of Excellence (HR 1631, March 2026), Dee is a John Maxwell Certified Coach, keynote speaker, and global missionary whose influence reaches across boardrooms, pulpits, and nations. She is the visionary behind Phenomenal Women of Impact, Georgia Jobs 4 Hire & PAID Apprenticeships, and her newest venture, AI AutoPilot — helping entrepreneurs and ministry leaders automate and scale with artificial intelligence.

Dee pursues her Master’s/Doctorate in Ministry at South College and is mentored by renowned leader Dr. Cindy Trimm. Bold, Spirit-led, and unapologetically action-oriented, she doesn’t just inspire — she activates.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Surely not a smooth road. I have had many struggles — from losing my only 2 sisters in a freak car accident at a young age, to navigating life as the oldest of five siblings carrying the weight of family grief, to building businesses and a nonprofit from the ground up with limited resources. I have faced financial hardship, personal loss, and seasons where the vision was clear but the provision was not. Yet every obstacle became a stepping stone. Every struggle shaped my purpose. I did not just survive the hard road — I let it refine me into the leader, the speaker, the author, and the woman of faith I am today. My testimony is not in spite of the struggle. It is because of it.”

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear many hats, but they all point in one direction — impact. I am the Founder and CEO of Annie’s House Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit serving foster youth in Newnan, Georgia. I am also the CEO of Dee Cook Global, founder of AutoPilot AI, a two-time bestselling author, keynote speaker, John Maxwell certified coach, and global missionary.

I specialize in leadership development, AI automation for small businesses, and faith-based women’s empowerment. I founded the IGNITE Prayer Circle — a weekly prayer movement reaching women across Zoom, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

What sets me apart is that I do not just talk about transformation — I have lived it. I have been mentored by Dr. Cindy Trimm, baptized in the Jordan River, and had a personal encounter with God at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. I was honored as one of Georgia’s 100 Women of Excellence in 2026. I bring the boardroom and the altar together — because I believe your faith and your work should occupy the same space.”

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
“I grew up as the oldest of five siblings, which meant responsibility found me early. I was naturally curious, driven, and deeply sensitive to the people around me. I was the one who asked the big questions, challenged the status quo, and felt things deeply — even when I did not have the words for it yet.

Growing up was not easy. We faced real hardship, and I experienced loss at a young age that shaped everything about who I became. But even as a child, there was something in me that refused to stay down. I was a natural leader before I knew what leadership was — always looking out for others, always trying to make sense of the bigger picture.

Faith was woven into my foundation early, and it never left. What I know now is that everything I went through growing up was preparation — for the nonprofit I would build, the stages I would stand on, the women I would lead, and the prayer movement I would launch. God was writing my story long before I knew the title.”
