Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Thames

Hi Nathan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started back in middle school free styling at the lunch table and I began recording myself at home off a PlayStation 3 microphone over time I’ve invested more money into my craft and built a at home studio where I still record myself current day

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a hard road I lost my mother at 14 to cancer I didn’t have a father growing up so I had to grow up at a young age and pretty much grind to get what I wanted myself I was frequently getting in and out of trouble making bad decisions, seen a lot of my friends loose there life behind the streets or locked up to the system but over time I have learned from mine and others mistakes and started striving for growth

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a musical artsit I write and engineer my own music, I don’t specialize in just one genre I love music as a whole , I’m most proud of just how far I have come with the mixing and mastering on my music if you listen to my first mixtape “Btf Baby” (2021) you can hear part of my story but the quality was terrible but each project after got better and better my most recent mixtape “24” (2024) is a great piece of work in my eyes , through out my journey I’ve had a few songs go viral and I’ve made the radio and was played on v103 twice , what sets me apart from others is each and every song I make has its own vibe but it has a piece of Nate within the song

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve learned that your Dream
Isn’t everyone’s Dream everyone won’t see your vision you just gotta keep going , the better and deeper you get into your craft the emptier the room starts to get because everyone doesn’t understand the sacrifices that comes with it but that’s what comes with anything in life you really want, you have to really wanna grow in order to grow
