Hi OGMarley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Art is all I am and all I’ve been, Been on stages all my life from football to school and church plays, miming for the church, talent shows. So that was always my foundation. Raised in Chattanooga Tn
The oldest of 5
Art was an escape, a release that I couldn’t control, I always wanted to create something. Played football all the way up to college, got hurt and decided to fall back on my first passion. Started doing poetry with Genesis they Greykid as my big brother/mentor and the fire kept growing. Did every show you can think of in Chatt with my poetry before I started rapping and then that got me on more stages. Over the years fine tuning my music I got more noticed and I started slowly reaching further outside of Tennessee. I’m now located in Fresno, CA
A move that happened bc of family and I’m working on a lot of music soon to drop.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing good or great comes easy. I’ve had battles with my health, car accidents, life, death, and even myself. However, on the midst of those battles I’ve learned how to grow and make that glass half full and appreciate what’s in front of me instead of what’s behind.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an artist that raps and makes really good music. Most don’t consider rap as art and that’s blasphemy to me. So, I consider myself a rap artist proudly.
What matters most to you?
Life, my beautiful sons and my amazing wife, my 4 young brother, my mother and family, all my kinfolk and cousins, my brothers and sisters ive found along the way. All of that matters to me tenfold, And actually caring, loving, and respecting the art form that I was blessed to fall in love with and wanted to be good at.
