Hi Rachel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a luxury caterer in Atlanta, GA. I have been passionate about serving since the tender age of five. I have also been domesticated since I was five, walking around with purses, pretending to cook and clean, and yelling at my dolls, aka my children. So, this is a natural part of my personality. Catering and cooking are an extension of service. I do not believe this field happened unintentionally for me. I thoroughly enjoy cooking, creating, and being of service. It’s a safe space. A quote by Mark Twain says, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” That’s how I feel about catering. I started by posting many of my meals on social media and gaining a large following that began to pivot my career. I was working in a corporate setting, hating the idea of someone telling me my every move and how much money I could make. The stress was unbearable, and I reached a breaking point. I started my own Catering company. That was the start of the revolution.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One challenge would be finding my target audience. The services that I provide are luxury, and luxury is not free. It comes with a price. I have over 25 years of experience and spend many hours putting thoughts and ideas together, but some customers want discounted rates. You wouldn’t walk into a store and ask for 50% off, so you should be open to small businesses to.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a luxury Caterer and chef. I specialize in serving small, intimate parties and rewarding them with memorable experiences. I perform high-end catering with luxury setups for events like birthdays, graduation, baby showers, brunches, and other intimate gatherings.

What’s next?
I am planning to do catering full-time and expand my services in the very near future.
