Life & Work with Zaria Robinson of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zaria Robinson.

Zaria, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a local music creator and fashion model from Decatur, Georgia. Starting off at a young poet with a passion for music, I slowly combined the two and shared my new projects with friends starting a snowball effect that got me on stage performing with live bands(2022- present). From there, I used my love for fashion to encourage me to audition for fashion models calls. The more runway shows I did, the more confidence I had in front of a crowd. I used my confidence from modeling(2023-present) to chip away at my stage fright while performing my music. In August 2026, I displayed my first collection of custom up-cycled designs in the Catwalk Core Fashion Show and Competition. I’m eager to see what I do next!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been smooth. I struggled with low self- esteem for most of my life. It was hard to find the courage to put myself out there even though I enjoy expressing myself and creating. It can be really discouraging to be judged and bullied. Finding my tribe of friends and a community that values me was all I needed to understand my value and find my niche. Life has not been without it’s financial troubles but through friendships and community and my faith, I found the strength to change careers no matter the pay cut.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’d like to say I’m multifaceted, known for different spaces! Many know me as a singer/songwriter and just as many know me as a runway model. I’m also a custom designer and stylist. My client’s bring me clothes that they can no longer fit and I break them down and turn them into something that they can wear again! I’m able to adapt to the rooms that I enter.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My adaptability is most important to my success. I have to be ready to take on anything!
