Meet Aimbriel Lasley & Brittany Williams The Legacy Collective Community of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aimbriel Lasley & Brittany Williams The Legacy Collective Community.

Hi Aimbriel Lasley & Brittany Williams, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
TLCC was birthed March 28, 2026. The organization was originally a program under another organization and grew to be much bigger than what was imagined. Brittany and Aimbriel successfully ran this program for two years and had a vision to grow this into something much bigger. With much deliberation and faith, we launched The Legacy Collective Community to offer homeschool co-0p programming along with a community service focus to expand our reach. We love to serve and it is our hope that through TLCC we can reach not only the homeschooling community but others that are in need of services to improve their quality of life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been an entirely smooth road. We had a short amount of time to take the program into an established non-profit. There were many late nights, long days, several meetings and drafts for what everything would look like. Operationally, we knew what to do as we had done it before. It was the small details and ensuring we had the proper protocols in place that were challenging to navigate.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We run a non profit organization and specialize in creating a fun and enriching learning environment for the Black homeschool community. We are most proud of making it through our first year as a non profit and raising over $1.500 dollars through our fundraising efforts. What sets us apart from others is that we are community centered and people first. Our goal is to always make those who come to us feel seen and important. From our families, to teachers and other community organizations that we partner with. Our goal is to always share their information and encourage our community to support them.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson learned is that community work is not always pretty but it is necessary. The work can seem overwhelming but the key is to find the joy.
