Meet Allie Garner of Inflate Designs Balloons & Backdrops

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allie Garner.

Hi Allie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. I’ve always loved celebrating people and creating memorable moments, and after making balloons for friends and family, I realized how much joy custom event décor could bring to others. That passion eventually grew into Inflate Designs Balloons and More.

Over the years, I balanced building the business while also working in marketing, which taught me so much about branding, customer experience, and community connection. In 2025, I took a huge leap and transitioned into running Inflate Designs full-time. Since then, we’ve expanded our inventory, added marquee rentals and new event offerings, completed a full brand refresh, and have been fortunate enough to work on everything from birthdays and school events to grand openings and large community celebrations across Monroe and the surrounding areas.

One of the biggest things that has helped us grow has been the support of our local community and returning clients. Social media has also played a huge role in connecting us with people who value unique, custom celebrations. I’m incredibly grateful that what started as a small creative passion has turned into a business that allows me to help people celebrate some of life’s biggest moments every single week.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road — but I think that’s true for most small businesses. There have been a lot of learning experiences along the way, from investing in inventory that didn’t rent the way we expected to navigating the occasional unhappy customer. Those challenges really pushed us to grow and become more organized as a business, leading us to develop stronger contracts, policies, and invest in a CRM system to better serve our clients.

On top of the business side, there’s also the reality of balancing entrepreneurship with family life. As a mom of two boys and the wife of a first responder, life can get very busy with packed schedules and plenty of sleepless nights. There have been seasons where balancing work, family, and personal life felt overwhelming, but those experiences have also taught me resilience, flexibility, and the importance of building something I’m truly passionate about. Every challenge has helped shape the business into what it is today.

Inflate Designs Balloons and More is a custom event décor company based in Monroe, Georgia, specializing in organic balloon installations, marquee rentals, backdrops, and styled celebrations for everything from birthdays and graduations to corporate events, school functions, grand openings, and community celebrations. We love helping bring our clients’ visions to life in a way that feels personal, creative, and memorable.

Over the years, we’ve become known for our attention to detail, unique color palettes, and creating installations that feel custom to each event instead of “one size fits all.” Whether it’s a small birthday setup or a large-scale business event, we want every client to feel celebrated and cared for throughout the process. We also pride ourselves on being approachable and making the planning process as stress-free as possible for our clients.

What sets us apart is the heart behind the business. We truly value the relationships we’ve built within our community and with the families and businesses who continue to trust us for their milestones year after year. Being locally owned and community-focused has always been a huge part of our brand.

One of the things I’m most proud of brand-wise is how much Inflate Designs has evolved while still staying true to who we are. From a full brand refresh to expanding our inventory and offerings, every step has been intentional. I’m especially proud that the business has grown largely through word of mouth, repeat customers, and community support. To me, that says the most about the experience we strive to provide.

At the end of the day, we want people to know that we’re more than just balloons — we’re here to help create moments people will remember. Whether it’s a child’s birthday party, a school celebration, or a business grand opening, we genuinely love being a small part of life’s biggest moments.

How do you define success?
Success, to me, is creating a business that allows me to do what I love while also being present for my family and serving my community. Of course growth and milestones are exciting, but I really measure success by the relationships we’ve built, the repeat clients who continue to trust us for their biggest moments, and the ability to create something meaningful from a passion that started small.

As a business owner, wife, and mom, success also means finding balance — building a brand I’m proud of while still making memories with my family along the way. Knowing that our work helps people celebrate special moments and brings joy to others is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
