Meet Amanda & Josh Hall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda & Josh Hall.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
With 15 years of marriage and over 20 years together, our love for our animals and cooking food together has always been our shared passions together. We took these shared passions and created the idea of ResQue Rubs, Rubs for a Reason, just over a year ago. Our Rubs and Seasonings, are handmade in small batches and named after our fur babies. We have partnered with Furkids, the largest no kill shelter here in the Southeast, to have a portion of our sales donated back to support their organization.

In February 2022, we officially launched ResQue Rubs for selling online here in the State of Georgia and recently began selling locally at farmer’s markets and at local events in our community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, it has been a pretty smooth process. We’ve definitely encountered small issues along the way that we’ve learned from and have gained the perspective that it won’t be perfect the first time which is okay. The support along the way has been incredible and additional motivation to keep at it to be able to share our vision with others. We currently have our Ga Dept of Agriculture Cottage Food license which allows us to sell online in the State of Georgia and locally. Our current challenge is working on obtaining our Ga Dept of Agriculture Food Establishment license next which will allow us to expand our sales online outside of Georgia and in Retail spaces.

Combining Amanda’s 20 years of experience with her Accounting career and Josh’s 23 years of experience in Hospitality and Restaurant Management and currently Sales career, we have used these backgrounds to help us navigate and build our business together.

How do you think about happiness?
Our happiness comes from time with our friends and family, daily time with our furbabies, tennis with our friends, cooking together and sharing our creations with our friends/family and now building our business together for a great cause with our furbabies alongside!
