Meet Andrea Cowan-Stewart of Busy Being A Boss in Savannah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Cowan-Stewart.

Andrea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Busy Being A Boss stemmed from me building two other businesses that I own Pamper & Play Kids Spa and Tailor Made Professionals. While marketing these businesses, people would ask for my assistance with their business and I would always decline because that was something that I had never thought of doing before and on top of that, I honestly didn’t think that I had the time to focus on coaching.

After enough people reached out to me about helping them, I finally decided to move forward with creating Busy Being A Boss. Our mission is to help self-motivated entrepreneurs take their businesses to the next level by teaching them how to create multiple streams of income within their business. Doing this will allow them to grow and scale their business.

Where I am today? Currently, I’m working with more 1-on-1 clients and my “Back to Bizness” group coaching program is consistently growing. With my group coaching program, I focus on teaching them how to grow their businesses on and offline by giving them strategies that I’ve personally used to help grow and sustain my businesses.

Additionally, earlier this year in March, Busy Being A Boss hosted it’s first Business Networking Brunch in Savannah, Georgia. I talked about the advantages of building your business online and we also had a panel discussion that consisted of female entrepreneurs from the Savannah area. During the panel discussion, we answered some of the following questions: How do you market your business? How did you fund your business? What would you tell someone who is looking to go in a similar direction?

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it has definitely not always been a smooth road. I would say one of my biggest struggles was finding time for myself and my family. If anyone has ever built a business from the ground up they know the number of hours it takes to make sure that everything is on point with the business which forces you to miss out on important things.

Another struggle that I faced was getting people to understand that my prices are my prices. I learned quickly to stand firm on my prices and not to compromise because I know that if done right, what I’m teaching will produce results.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Busy Being A Boss is a consulting firm that specializes in creating strategies that will allow business owners to create multiple streams of income within their business which will in return help them to grow and scale their business.

What I’m most proud of is that I’m able to help entrepreneurs figure out how to fully monetize their businesses. Often times, entrepreneurs quit before they actually start seeing the fruits of their labor but my job is to help them create a plan of action that will allow them to start seeing profits when they begin to implement the strategies.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I believe that my city is a good place for a business like mine. If someone was just started out, I would encourage them to go ahead and start their business because at the end of the day, it’s all about how you market the business.
