Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Sinclair.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Angie Sinclair’s water series began as photographs. Her inspiration came from watching her children swim, both playfully and competitively. She was mesmerized by the way the water seemed to mystify the body and wanted to find a way to capture the interaction of water, body and light. Her painted canvases feature crisp blue-hued scenes of people skimming along water’s reflective surfaces. Hints of reflective colors skim across the canvas and cling close to the figures.
Please tell us about your art.
My current body of work is all about water. My art is not photo realism it is modern impressionism. I am an emerging artist with a modern contemporary style. I am creating different textures and forms though innovative brush strokes which are very loose, free, and dynamic and are prevalent and visual in all of my work.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
Creating art is one thing but the business end is challenging and daunting.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
