Today we’d like to introduce you to Apryl Butler-Bennings.
Apryl started reading novels and writing at an early age under the influence and direction of her mother. Her early work began with captivating speeches, romantic poems and alluring short stories. The minimum daily requirement of one hour of reading or writing once regarded as punishment soon transitioned into a normal habit. It was not long before she followed her mother’s footsteps with reading and writing, becoming a sincere interest and hobby. Since then, her leisurely hobby evolved into a fervent passion introducing her first public release; The Confessions Series (Confessions Of A Church Stalker, Confessions Of A Fighter in Training and Ringside Confessions) and The Blood Left Behind.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a long bumpy road. The Confessions Series was written years ago before self-publishing. Since then software has changed numerous times. Each time software would change parts of the story would get lost or become incompatible forcing revision after revision.
Vivid Imagination – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Vivid Imagination is a company that specializes in reading entertainment via the author’s creative imagination. Vivid currently works with authors who produce fictional, nonfictional, educational, self-help and nutritional books and manuscripts. We also team with authors whose primary target audience is children’s entertainment and education.
“We write to call and are called to write.”
Our imaginations are bright, colorful, vibrant and, most of all, vivid. Vivid Imagination’s first series is The Confessions Series. The series is casual yet professional with powerful storylines keeping the audience on edge. It presents the ethnic community in a positive light by revealing ways to deal with the stress and obstacles of everyday life. The series portrays the community as educated, successful, family orientated, community involved, cohesive while remaining strong within an ever-changing society.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I measure success by conquering my personal achievements and goals. Personal victories can be small or enormous. I celebrate them both equally. There is no such thing as failure. If Plan A does not work, then I can do one of two things. I can revise Plan A or jump directly to Plan B.
