Meet Autumn Corin of North Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Autumn Corin.

Hi Autumn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hey, everyone! My name is Autumn Corin. I’m a 24-year-old R&B singer, songwriter, digital creator, entrepreneur, and recent graduate of Berklee College of Music. Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—I’ve been singing since I was in diapers and have been pursuing it professionally for the past six years. My journey began in choir and theater throughout middle and high school, where I developed my love for performing. Eventually, I started sharing covers on social media, which helped me grow an incredible community of supporters and build my platform. Through every high and low, music has remained a constant source of purpose, expression, and connection in my life. It’s more than just a career—it’s a passion that continues to shape who I am. I’m incredibly proud of what I do and grateful to be part of an art form that has the power to inspire, heal, and bring people together. Being able to contribute to something bigger than myself is a privilege I never take for granted.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. I’ve faced my share of challenges—from struggles with self-image and imposter syndrome to moving across the country and internationally. Growing up in a military family, I was the “new girl” around 8 times at 8 different schools. I’ve experienced the pain of losing friends, the challenge of making new ones, and moments of feeling like I wasn’t enough, along with everything in between. Being a woman in this industry isn’t always easy, but the hard work makes it worthwhile. As long as I’m creating music that I’m passionate about and that resonates with my audience, I’m happy. I truly believe everything happens for a reason, and that perspective has been one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the past few years.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an R&B recording artist, songwriter, and creative at heart. Many people first discovered me through my covers of classic R&B songs and my time signed to DDG’s independent record label. Throughout every chapter of my career, I have taken pride in leading with both tenacity and vulnerability—qualities that have shaped me as an artist and as a woman navigating this industry. Recently, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music Business from Berklee College of Music, an accomplishment that represents years of dedication, growth, and perseverance. More than anything, I believe it is my journey that sets me apart. I’ve worn many hats, lived in many places, and experienced life from countless perspectives, all of which influence the stories I tell through my music. I also consider myself a champion of original R&B. While the genre may not dominate the mainstream the way it once did, my love for it has never wavered. Thankfully, artists like Kehlani, Leon Thomas, and Chris Brown continue to push the genre forward and keep its spirit alive for a new generation.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I’ve always been a spunky, independent, and deeply compassionate person. I feel things deeply, cherish my family, and have always been drawn to creativity in all its forms. From a young age, music was at the center of my world. I was known as “the choir kid”—the one who was always singing, whether at my desk in class, standing in line, or anywhere else I could get away with it. More often than not, that enthusiasm got me into trouble. Music has never been just a hobby or a passing interest for me; it’s been a lifelong calling. As far back as I can remember, singing has been my greatest passion, and I’ve never envisioned myself pursuing anything else. It’s the thread that connects every chapter of my life and the foundation of who I am as an artist and as a person.
