Meet Blenda DeBerry of Jon’Ric International Salon and Wellness Spa in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blenda DeBerry.

Blenda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Worked in Sales Management and Marketing for more than 35 years. Took and early retirement package and invested in the spa. Love people, know that we need to de-compress and eliminate stress. Solicited a partner and here I am. 9 months into a business that’s a “one-stop-shop” for busy executives, movie producers and the sports and entertainment industries. Looking forward to a successful 2017 as I continue to drive exposure and awareness in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not such a smooth road. Financial watch outs that were not accounted for during the launch. Staffing in an independent consultant environment and building awareness for a brand that’s not recognized in Atlanta. Location challenges with parking.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Working with and accommodating the movie industry and celebrity clients.
