Meet Brenda Dennis of Just Breathe in South

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenda Dennis.

Brenda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a child growing up in the Detroit, Michigan metro area, I always had instinctual abilities for retail and a passion to sell no matter where I was in the world. It ranged from selling the gold-plated trimmed wall placards with portraits of religious figures centered mass (in grade school), Lucky Heart Products, replicas of designer fragrances, Mary Kay, natural body products, Massage Therapy to clothing. I must proudly admit, I was very good at what I did; and my profits were not too shabby. Why? My best answer to this would be, I never sold a product that didn’t have the propensity to sell itself.

I’m the sole owner of Just Breath Boutique specializing in Ladies and Men customized clothing. Now, this is where my passion truly lies – fashions. It was something I treasured as well as a little girl – I’m not sure as to why I ventured down other avenues/roads before placing my arms around this and running for the hills. The best answer/conclusion I can rest on is – my parents nor did I have the wherewithal to fund such a lucrative passion. I can vibrantly recall a craven so deeply to possess finer clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc. that when I would see other children and/or adults wearing daily – I would become fixated in a daydreaming world.

I thank the universe for my older sister, Linda Dennis-Goss. She was my saving grace during these formative years especially during high school because she had the same eye as I did for fine fashions but never the drive to sell them – smile. She was always forthcoming whenever I felt the need to borrow her clothing. She wore a size 6-8 in clothing, size 8-5 in shoes and was ten years older than I. It was only fate that allowed this to work out. It could not have gotten any better – I always felt like I was queen for a day when sporting her attire around town – well school.

Today, I continue to possess that same burning passion for fashions. The only difference, I became impelled to share it with other fashionable women and men in, around and across boards. Just Breath is located on the southside of GA and it’s a home-base operating business via appointments – only. I carry designer and customized attire but II don’t operate via cyber just yet. However, one can find a small percentage of my items on display at Belleame boutique, located in Cummings, GA.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As with all businesses and life, Just Breathe has had its challenges beginning with finding good, trustworthy assistance, developing a website, and getting up the nerves to operate a storefront.

Just Breathe – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The name of my company is Just Breathe. I specialize in men and women customized and designer fashions. Just Breath is located on the southside of GA and it’s a home-base operating business via appointments – only. I don’t operate via cyber just yet. However, one can find a small percentage of my items on display at Belleame boutique, located in Cummings, GA. What set me aside from others is that I carry a variety of designs that are European inspired with some American flair.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I’m a true believer that success is a state of mind and well-being. Honestly, the average person fines it harder to obtain and retain overall well-being compared to shopping for fashion. Now, this doesn’t mean, in my world, that I don’t care for the bigger and better cars homes, etc. I just don’t let them overrule my life’s presence.
