Meet Dahna-Esther Fearon of Other

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dahna-Esther Fearon.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started in 2014, after losing my contract, I could not get another job. That was followed by other tragic events including the loss of my uncle in Florida, whilst travelling back to Atlanta. It was upon my visit to Atlanta and attending his funeral, I started getting a sense of purpose and change.

One year later, still not able to get a job, I took a huge leap, gave up my home and moved to London with one suitcase and £9 to my name. I spent seven months on my friend’s sofa and it was from there I began to write blogs and I drafted my first manuscript and two years later I authored my first book ‘Transition- How To Get From Here To A Place Called There.

From my blogs and vlogs, I started getting invitations to speak and I started hosting masterclasses from my first book.

In October 2017, I launched Big Sis Lil Sis Girls’ Club and that continued until September 2019. I published the Big Sis Lil Sis Girls’ Club Purpose Journal in May 2024 and my latest ebook ‘Nuggets From The Last Three Decades’ was published last October 2025.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, I see success as linear rather than a straight road. The first four years of moving to London were met with poverty and limitations. I kept getting sick, and I applied for over 1500 jobs before I got what I thought at the time was my dream job. I experienced a lot of setbacks and rejection, and some sabotage from those who saw me as a threat. But I kept going. My faith in God played a key part in my ability to navigate those tumultuous years.

I was promoted to the role of EA to the CEO of a government agency, which was on the frontline in regulating and approving vaccines during COVID. I learned some of my greatest leadership strategies in that role. I resigned in 2022 and moved into academia, but have continued writing and publishing my books and speaking. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis and had major surgery in March 2024. In the midst of that ordeal, I published my second book, Big Sis Lil Sis Girls’ Club Purpose Journal.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a hybrid- which means I work a 9-5, and I am in corporate. Outside of my corporate role, I am an author, speaker and transformational life coach.

In my 9-5 role, I serve as a department officer and manage the administration for over 130 academics and researchers.

Outside of my career, I am the founder and CEO of Roots To Fruits Healing Ltd- a company that focuses on transformation and wholeness living through workshops/seminars, conferences and one-to-one and group coaching.

What’s next?
For the future, I plan to scale my business and take it worldwide. I have been building in London for some time and I plan to expand my team and reach.
