Meet Danessa Elreya of Magical Intentions in Atlantic Station

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danessa Elreya.

Danessa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a young girl, I was always fascinated by fairytales, crystals, magic, and of mystical elements that intertwined with spirituality. Growing into an adult, I’ve explored multiple different types of healing and expression. I began to have a strong affinity with gemstones – I loved learning about the crystals meaning, and what they have represented culturally. I became a tad obsessed with collecting the stones and turning them into jewelry. Soon my friends, family, and even complete strangers would ask if I could make them some jewelry and enjoyed learning about what the Pieces I’d made for them, represented. My boyfriend, Devin Wills, was one of my most passionate supporters – Fully believing that I should share my art with others, and start my own business – Together, we created Magical Intentions.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the greatest challenges was finding time to balance a full-time job while growing an entirely new business. Learning how to run a company properly, create products, marketing, creating content, selling, taxes, customer service, and development have forced me to adapt and grow as a businesswomen.

Magical Intentions – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
At Magical Intentions, our goal is to provide jewelry with a purpose. Everything we offer, from our crystal pendants to our gemstone rings, is individually crafted and hand-wrapped for you. We want you to be able to use your gemstone to create meaningful magical healing and to bring positive energy into your life. Plus, we want you to have stunning jewelry you can wear proudly.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moments come from my customers writing in to tell me how much they love my work, the importance of the representation of the Stones meaning for them. I’ve had multiple people tell me that My Crystals bring a little magic into their lives. It’s Heartwarming, to see someone who’s purchased a crystal, truly love and appreciate my Art.
