Meet Dante Baker of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dante Baker.

Hi Dante, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born in Los Angeles California My parents Mary and Tony Clark. Two brothers Alrick and Antonio. Mom and father separated and my mom moved to the South so we could be with my grandparents. So i lived in Meridian Mississippi. i grew up playing sports and going to church with my Grandparents. I did plays as a child in school and marched in the Marching band that’s why i have a theatrical and Music back ground. I graduated HighSchool at Meridian High School where i was a Football standout. I lettered in Baseball and football. However never made it to the next level. Ran with the local rap crews but the music never paid the bills. Grand mother and Grandfather told me to get a trade. I fell in love and moved to Nashville with my girlfriend at the time and studied as a graphic design student. Graduated from High Tech Institute.. After returning to Mississippi Mom and allowed me to move to california to get a real trade where father was to try and help. Grandparents are proud of the move that’s where i Joined Local 78 los angeles plumbers union. after 5 year program i graduated as a Journeyman Plumber. Thanks to mom Christiana, Jim Diflavio. Worked as a plumber but always had the passion to produce music auto act so started taking acting classes at night. Lost my grandfather to cancer. Fell in love had a baby Amira Milana was born. but trajic struck lost my Grandmother and brother same year. I took time to heal by acting started as a Background then began gaining principal roles. Now a professional Sag Actor. proud to be a Union Plumber/ Union Actor/and Artist That own my own label. Welcome to Visual Sound Film & Music Group. VSFMG

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Death of Grandparents And oldest brother died of cancer. still grieving but music heals in time.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a artist My passion was making beats so i produced my own First single on all platforms “Cut the check” is a song off my new Album being released on my Label VSFMG

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
More streaming of music Triple platinum records being cut and more movie music placement. I see myself producing for DDG Ty Dollar Sign Sahara BeYonce Drake and Snoop Dog
