Meet David Alexander of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Alexander.

Hi David, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story has never been a straight line, but looking back, I can see the thread that connects it all: people, storytelling, community, and growth.

I started my career in brand building and field marketing, spending over a decade with companies like Red Bull and later working with brands in the fitness, beverage, and wellness space. Those early years taught me how powerful it is when a brand becomes more than a product — when it becomes a feeling, a community, and something people want to be part of.

Fitness has also been a major part of my journey. I’ve coached CrossFit, HYROX, and group training classes, and that world has given me a deeper appreciation for discipline, confidence, and the way people transform when they’re surrounded by the right community. Coaching has always felt bigger than workouts to me. It’s about helping people see what they’re capable of.

Along the way, I’ve also had some unique experiences in media and television, including being on Big Brother and later being selected for The Floor. Those moments pushed me outside of my comfort zone and taught me a lot about identity, perception, and what it means to show up as yourself when people are watching.

Today, I’m in a chapter where I’m bringing all of those pieces together: sales, storytelling, fitness, technology, community, and personal growth. I’ve worked across industries from CPG to robotics and IoT connectivity, and I’ve realized that what I’m most drawn to is helping people and brands communicate their value in a way that feels real.

Atlanta is home for me, and being back here feels intentional. I’m excited about building in this city, connecting with people, and continuing to grow into a version of myself that younger me would be proud of. I don’t see my journey as finished. I see it as something I’m still shaping — with more clarity, purpose, and confidence than ever before.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. I don’t think my road has been smooth, but I’m learning to appreciate the parts of the journey that didn’t go exactly as planned.

One of the biggest challenges for me has been navigating change and uncertainty. My career has taken me through brand marketing, sales, fitness, media, tech, and entrepreneurship-adjacent spaces. From the outside, that can look exciting — and it has been — but it also comes with moments where you question your direction, your identity, and whether all the pieces will eventually make sense.

I’ve also had to grow through very public experiences. Being on Big Brother was a unique opportunity, but it also came with judgment, criticism, and lessons about how people perceive you when they only see part of your story. That experience challenged me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time, especially around confidence, identity, and learning not to let outside opinions define me.

There have also been career seasons where I had to bet on myself, walk away from situations that no longer aligned, or start over with more clarity. Those moments are uncomfortable, but they’ve helped me become more intentional about the environments I choose, the people I work with, and the kind of impact I want to have.

The biggest lesson has been that obstacles don’t always mean you’re off track. Sometimes they force you to slow down, reflect, and build a stronger foundation. I’m still growing, but I feel more grounded now. I have a better understanding of who I am, what I value, and the kind of story I want to keep writing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Professionally, my work has always lived at the intersection of sales, brand building, community, and storytelling.

I’ve spent much of my career helping brands connect with people in a real way — whether that was through field marketing, partnerships, fitness communities, events, sales, or emerging technology. I started in the brand and beverage world with companies like Red Bull, and over time my career expanded into fitness, wellness, CPG, robotics, and IoT connectivity. The industries have changed, but the core of the work has stayed the same: understanding people, communicating value, and creating momentum around something worth believing in.

I specialize in building relationships and bringing energy to ideas. I’m often the person who can walk into a room, connect with people quickly, understand what matters to them, and help translate a brand’s mission into something that feels tangible. Whether I’m selling a product, coaching a fitness class, supporting a community event, or helping shape a message, I care about making people feel connected to the bigger picture.

I’m most proud of the communities I’ve helped build and the people I’ve been able to impact along the way. In fitness, that means helping people find confidence and discipline through coaching. In sales and brand work, it means helping companies grow by creating trust, visibility, and authentic connection. I’m proud that my career has allowed me to operate in both performance-driven and people-centered spaces.

What sets me apart is that I don’t see sales, marketing, coaching, and storytelling as separate things. To me, they are all connected. They all require listening, emotional intelligence, consistency, and the ability to make people care. I bring a mix of professional experience, lived experience, creativity, and personal presence that allows me to connect across different environments.

At this stage of my career, I’m especially interested in work that combines strategy, storytelling, community, and impact. I want to help build brands, movements, and messages that people can see themselves in.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is creating impact, connection, and possibility for others.

At this stage of my life, I care deeply about growth — both personally and professionally. I want to keep becoming more grounded, intentional, and aligned with the person I know I’m capable of being. A lot of my journey has been about learning who I am, what I value, and how to show up with more confidence and purpose.

Community matters to me because I know how powerful the right environment can be. Whether it’s through fitness, sales, brand work, or storytelling, I’m drawn to spaces where people feel seen, supported, and motivated to grow. Coaching has been a big part of that for me because it allows me to help people build confidence, discipline, and belief in themselves.

Legacy matters, too — not in a flashy way, but in the sense of wanting my life and work to mean something. I often think about younger versions of myself and people who are still trying to find their voice or direction. If my story can help someone feel less alone or more capable of creating their own path, that matters to me.

Ultimately, I want to build a life rooted in purpose, connection, and impact.
