Today we’d like to introduce you to Demecos Chambers
Hi Demecos, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I didn’t follow the traditional path. I dropped out of high school, alternative school at that, then obtained a GED. But that wasn’t the end of the road for me – it was just the beginning. By the time I was 20, I landed a data entry corporate job that afforded me to move out of my mom’s house, and at 24, I had risen to project coordinator right under the project manager and bought my first home. That taste of success fueled me, and by 25, I was already running my first coaching business.
Growing up in poverty without a father and watching my mother work herself to the bone, taught me what struggle looks like up close. But those same experiences gave me the fire to push forward, no matter the odds. For over 15 years, I dedicated myself to mentoring at-risk teenage boys in Atlanta, guiding them through their own challenges while navigating mine. That work wasn’t just about giving back – it sharpened my resilience and made me realize the power of lifting others up.
Then I found cloud technology. I didn’t have a degree, but I had grit. I got certified, jumped into the tech world headfirst, and within a few years, I went from grinding as a Cloud Support Engineer to a Cloud Architect and leading major cloud projects for organizations like the US Department of Homeland Security. Now, as a cloud migration architect, I’ve worked across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, building out solutions and implementing infrastructure as code for some of the biggest names in the game.
But my mission didn’t stop with me. I founded BCloud Engineers to create opportunities for people like me – people who didn’t follow the straight line but have the hunger to succeed in tech.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey hasn’t been easy. I faced my fair share of setbacks, especially in my younger years. At 27, I hit rock bottom, losing my house, my job, and everything I had worked for. I found myself navigating the uncertain world of full-time entrepreneurship and odd jobs, doing whatever it took to make ends meet. I was a club bouncer, an insulation installer, a box truck driver, even a bouncy house installer – that one was tough, let me tell you. But even though I was fired from both Uber and Lyft as a driver, I never gave up. These experiences, as difficult as they were, taught me resilience and the importance of perseverance. They shaped me into the person I am today, and I’m grateful for the lessons I learned along the way.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
As smart as I seem to be, I watch a lot of Dj Akademiks, Vladtv, Nightcap, No Jumper and The Star Report…. Daily lol just to give my brain a break from learning and problem solving all the time.
Most people who know me also don’t know I aspire to have strong carpenter skills at some point in my life. I want to help physically build a house for a family in need to raise their family in, maybe it’s the country part in me lol
