Meet Dr. Javier Cornier Blanco of Wave Sports Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Javier Cornier Blanco

Hi Dr. Javier, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been an athlete since I was 5 years old, playing various different sports such as baseball, basketball, and volleyball. I decided to keep playing volleyball and got a scholarship to play volleyball at Life University, where I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and my Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

When I was a senior in high school, I got the chance to shadow a chiropractor one afternoon and after listening to the patient testimonials, I had no doubt that becoming a chiropractor was going to be my ultimate goal. Seeing how much chiropractic helped me as an athlete, made me want to help other athletes improve their performance.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While in chiropractic school, I suffered two shoulder injuries that led to two surgeries. It was difficult to practice my craft during those times since I could not move my arm as necessary for a few months. Since I was also part of the volleyball team at Life University, I had to make up a lot of classes and exams due to traveling days. However, suffering those injuries grew my passion for learning more about how the body works and how injury rehabilitation can help improve our health.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Wave Sports Chiropractic, we offer mobile chiropractic services so that you can maintain and improve your health from the comfort of your home, We provide a full body assessment that dives deep into body biomechanics, followed by chiropractic adjustments to help correct those faulty biomechanics. Additionally, we offer soft tissue therapies like Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.), instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), cupping therapy, and strength and conditioning programs.

One thing that makes us different is our short care plans. We help you feel better and without pain in as little as 4-6 visits by correcting your biomechanics, without the need of having to go to an office for 18 visits. This allows you the patient and me the doctor to work as a team to get you feeling better as fast as possible.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We have worked with athletes of all levels, from amateur to professional, as well as people from all ages and professions, helping us create a complete toolbox to help you heal and achieve all your goals.
